Yes, I remember Sun Yu winning over CM in the German Open last year. I think the Chinese coach in women single division must be under lots pressure now knowing the fact that their girls no longer have an edge over other countries. not just CM but 4 or 5 individuals* from other countries will be capable of winning in OG next year. will be interesting to watch.

How many titles have CHN WS won lately? It would be nice to have the stats.

I came back from somewhere, and started watching Viktor vs Chen Long match, and heard someone shout, "Viktor Jiayou," which led to a bit of mass giggles.

There seems to be a female Chinese fan of Viktor. How is that?

Not the least bit surprising to me. Most of the top 10/20 players have some following in CHN and there would be reports and articles written about them once in a while. Recently I came across a long write-up on Nozomi Okuhara which also mentioned Akane Yamaguchi in passing.

Korea won the MD match 21-16 21-17, not bad from the youngsters.

China only won one match out of four against foreign countries, that's a bit embarrassing.

Didn't Lin Dan say some of them, not a small number actually, supported LCW when they were playing each other in CHN?

The LK/LC partnership is still relatively young and new, looks very promising to me.

The CHN pair is still raw and ran out of ideas to counter the experienced and seasoned LYD/YYS. Too many loose shots but GC said they have a bright future.

The coach's job should be safe unlike CJ's as claimed by pcll99.

LC played well in the MD finals. Had he found the same form in the XD he and BYX could have done much better against their HK compatriots. LK is not as fast or powerful as yesterday.

China won only 1 out of 3 matches against foreign countries, to be accurate.

Not really surprising, especially if it is young female student supporting a handsome Caucasian player; and if you are a handsome and highly paid expatriate working in China, never mind if you're an Indian, you may just beat your Chinese colleagues to the hand of the most beautiful girl in your office. We Chinese are not really bothered by such things.
