Anyone knows the schedule for badminton in sea games 2015? Sea games is on from 6 june. There is still semifinal and final of indonesia ss on that weekend so there is possibility that some of the top players will not play in sea games. Personally i prefer to see younger players in sea games but there is no age limit
Wow unbelievable. I just checked the number to medals won by each country and I must admit that I really got a shock of my life. Singapore tops the lists with 41 gold medals won thus far. Wow unbelievable. Singapore has never tops the lists for any sea games event before. Well congratulations I must say. Anyway checking at the lists of players from Singapore, I realized that they have a lot of imported players from other countries too especially from China. In different sports, Singapore have imported players from China, Malaysia, Thailand, Indonesia, etc.... I guess having lots of imported players are good as it can help the country to win more medals. Then the best part is all the table tennis players are all imported from China. Hence Singapore won all the gold medals in the table tennis events. Once again congratulations. I guess other countries should also learn from Singapore and import more players from other countries to help them win in sports tournaments.
How could it be?? Where were the Spore ladies: Feng Tianwei and friends??? Surprise...surprise!!! Wanna watch the video. Btw I also surprise to find out that THA women's volleyball is strong, #4 in Asia and #12 or #13 in the world He he not following SEA Games. TT WS Results: Suthasini SAWETTABUT (20 yo) beat Feng Tianwei in Group stage 3-1 (9-11, 12-10, 11-7, 11-9); in SF beat MAI Hoang My Trang (VIE) 4-3 (16-18, 10-12, 9-11, 13-11, 11-5, 11-9, 11-9) through a fantastic match, trailing from 3 set deficit and 6 out of 7 sets were settled in 2-point margins... must be very painful for Mai to see her victory just slipped away. In the finals Suthasini beat NG Sock Khim (MAS) 4-3 (7-11, 11-5, 11-8, 9-11, 11-6, 9-11, 11-4).
One should consider two most important factors here for athlete importation: MONEY and the Size of Population. These two factors suit Spore well but not its much more populous yet less wealthy neighbours! And politically/culturally Spore more or less is a kind of highly regulated tiny melting pot that is able to hold/attract selected migrants from other parts of Asia and US/Europe. But different nations have their own ways to grow their own competence and competitiveness. Btw, I have not seen it grabs those highly potent field runners from Africa like those Middle East Kingdoms do.
Exactly women volleyball is most popular in Thailand and 1st goal for them will qualify to Rio 2016. Another in table tennis woman team event, THA didn't sent Suthasinee in final because she was injuried if she can play the result was change.
The badminton schedule => http://results.seagames2015.com/eng/zz/engzz_badminton_sport_overview.htm Team Event : 10th - 12th June 2015 Individual Event : 13th - 16th June 2015 The team event draw should be released today, big names to watch definitely are Lee CW and Intanon.
LCW should play US and canada open for ranking point to OG that is so important more gold medal seagames.
no worry, after team event, LCW straight go US & Canada... let the juniors deal with individual event...
team Women Mas vs indo mas chance is very low >< team men Mas vs indo Mas need to rely on CWF LCW GOH/TAN
after IOSSP i honestly want to watch firman and ginting rather than jojo playing in individual and team. but its okay hope to see more of good match from ina youngster.
LCW is generous...His target is Rio OLY gold, at least reportedly real gold was used to plate the gold medal. The Seagames gold medal was painted with gold color paint imported from China, dangerous stuff...hahaha
