Or it could simply be Yonex spies posting here to muddy the waters hehe. What better way than to create a rumour that the LD version is a different racket? More sales!
Thanks mike. Yup I note that crazy pricing too in several auction sites from Japan. I don't understand why would Yonex decide to limit the distribution quantity of this product within their home (JPN domestic) market ? I believe lots of LD Fans in JPN that suffer for unable to purchase the JP coded products, and as such are being forced to buy TW or CN Coded products there. I feel pretty sorry for them.
i got my zf2 LD today and its 4U. On yonex site they say average weigth of 4U is 83 gram and 3U 88 gram. when i measure my racket its 87g,its almost a 3U racket weight. how it come ?? It feels little bit head heavier than zf2 when i hold it on my hand. have to play with it and see how diffrent it is. on the site they say its same specs like original zf2.
So i got played with LD edition today and i can say it is little bit head heavier than the original z force 2. my friends say the LD version is heavier too. Little bit dissapointet .
i hope its not psychologic, its feels stronger but not as fast as the original. but i will give it a try and hope i will love it otherwise the quality is great and looks good
There's always little variation between two rackets - even if they are the same model. No way they're gonna be exactly the same.
There is of course a slight difference between rackets of the same models and also a difference between rackets of different batches, but nothing that can warrant an automatic "this racket feels heavier". There should be as many "this racket feels lighter" than "this racket feels heavier", but the fact that it is a Lin Dan racket makes people wish the racket is heavier because it is for Lin Dan. The small sample size that I have indicates that all the ZFIIs have pretty much the same swing weight with a small variation in balance between different batches. There is still a chance that you got a racket that's oddly out of spec range but considering how good Yonex QC is, this is pretty rare.
Despite Yonex "spies" trying their hardest hehe, this is the same racket as the original ZFII. The big giveaway is that Lin Dan was using the original ZFII quite frequently in formal tournaments before this. At least on one occasion, before the release of ZFIILD, he "switched back" to the orginal (black) ZFII. Sorry Yonex, but your marketing tactics, while much better than Victor's, didn't quite pull off this time.
me friend got a origial zf2(Thailand) too and it feels like mine zf2 (Denmark). gona try with LCW version if its diffrent too how ever i gona try play with it. Gonna go to a racket shop and feel the LD version if it like mine LD ( Hong-kong)
I would like to ask which Japan sites can still purchase the ZF2 LD JP version? Also my friend has 6 zf2, 3 original and 3 LD. There is a difference between the 2 rkts for sure. you can try to put 3 U shaped grommets on the original zf2 at the top 6 holes of the rkt but for LD version of the rkt the middle 2 grommets at 12 o'clock are spaced to close together so a u grommet can not fit inside there. Just my thoughts on the zf2 and zf2 ld. Also the zf2 LCW only comes in 3uweight. If I am wrong someone let me know where can get the 4ug5 zf2 LCW thx.
This is getting ridiculous. VTZF2 Thickness: 6.26mm VTZF2 LD Thickness: 6.25mm No, the racket is not different. Comparing 2 images side by side is the worst way possible you could imagine to compare 2 products.
I have make a balance test and the balance point is 13mm into the head compare to the original. And i take a thread in same lenght and measure. The original zf2 was more to the middle and LD version was 13mm into the head to make it balance and it means it is head heavier (physical laws). I can say its may racket it is , cant say other LD in other world is the same. How ever it is same size or weight for me it is more enoying the feeling its not the same because its head heavier and i feel it is another rack. It should not name as z force 2.
It should be named Z Force II because it is simply a repaint of the ZF2. Any major difference noted between it and the other versions are due to psychological factors, measurement errors or out of spec rackets (should be pretty rare). http://www.badmintoncentral.com/for...-Lin-Dan-Ltd?p=2356100&viewfull=1#post2356100
This is more trouble if Yonex have so diffrent betwin the batches or production quality. How can i bought same ZF2 without taking chance and hope i get almost same . By the wa Yan.v have you test the both racket?
