None other than Momota in that list can trouble CL enough for 2 games based on what the 5 have shown over the past 6-12 months. Yes CL can lose to them, but for that in addition to these names doing decently (to well in Ouseph's case) CL needs to play pretty poorly.

BTW all 4 in Ouseph's pre quarter are virtually equal and equi-likely to face CL in PQF.... Also Prannoy (if fully recovered) can easily beat Axelsen, EASILY!!!

FHF/ZN will face LYD/YYS in Quarters. That would be one hell of a match.

Someone posted it for Jan O, and he got it wrong, it should be INDONESIAN open 2014, not Malaysian Open 2014.

Unfortunately, it can't unless he's the top seeded of this big event. On paper, Srikanth's opponent should be Hsu JH (R/32), Tago or Hu Y (R/16) and Lee CW (QF).

If Chen Long performs his A quality, certainly those names are no problem for him ;)

From XD draw, top-half contains fierce competition between Zhang/Zhao, Fischer/Pedersen, local fave Ahmad/Natsir, Reginald Lee CH/Chau HW and Ko SH/Kim HN. While three CHN XD are drawn at bottom half, highly possible one of them will cruise into last round.

    Prediction for Indians:--

    MS:--

HSP, if fit will lose to CL in QF.
Kash can lose anywhere from R2 to SF, most likely R2 vs TMN or QF vs Momota
Sri, who has a shitty, shitty draw can win it all, but can also perish anywhere from R2 onwards. QF vs LCW seems his most likely altar of sacrifice, however I hope he walks out World Champion by the end of the event. Jai Hind!!!

    WS:--
SN will reach QF and lose to Yihan
While PVS will perish most probably against LXR in PQF, she might live long enough to fall victim to Caro in SF. If CM's injured, PVS may even win it. Most likely outcome for her would be exit vs LXR.

    MD:--
    AD/PJC might reach R2
Poor Manu/Sumeeth will definitely perish at R1 thanks to this horrid draw. Good recent form notwithstanding.

    WD:--
While Sikki/Pradnya can easily lose in the early rounds, they can reach PQF if they play well.
    Dhanya/Mohita will fall at R1
JG/AP will reach QF and perish to Luo twins. They won't fall earlier, won't progress beyond.

    XD:--
Arun/Aparna might bring a cheer by winning a round (or a game)
    Tarun/Sikki will fall in R1

Based on the draw, best case scenario seems 1 Bronze (Kashyap).... Most likely scenario seems we will return empty handed.

Haha, he is a Canadian singles player. Not the best IMO but he is one of. I believe he is trying for the Olympics. There are many immigrants that came from China over here that can destroy him though.

Martin will probably win Gold in Rio though :D

How many of you guys believe a top-form CL can take out LD at the moment if LD trains to get back in shape? Just curious. Personally, I don't think he can but I can be wrong.

I have just come from the future.
LD defeated CL in the finals 13-21,21-19,24-22.

LD took one month break and now he has his both arms fully tatooed.
Not to mention that his back is also fully tatooed with some precious characters like "God","seven stars" in chinese.

I think Lin dan will learn that talent can only take you so far. There are finally some great-looking youngsters out there with the motivation and ability to compete, that I don't think he can keep it up for an entire world championships/olympics.

Cl will be routed by LD. Unlike his famous rival, LD only cared about the ones that matter.

I don't see CL taking a game vs LD at WC.
