An alternative is Hotspot Shield; works for me.

    BWF live streaming not available

Getting the "The uploader has not made this video available in your country" error on the BWF's YouTube channel live streaming. I have tried proxy from the US, UK, Denmark, Malaysia, Indonesia but none of them worked. Which country can watch the live streaming? Thanks.

As a German you don't even need it this tournament. Sportdeutschland is broadcasting the world championships but it is only available for Germans I think.

Yeah I could watch it at Sportdeutschland (connected to DE via VPN). Thanks Rob3rt for the link on another thread. The BWF youtube however, is no go for me. I have tried UK, US, CA, SE, DE and AU.

Dammit... this mean I could not watch it at work from tomorrow onwards.

You're welcome! The stream from their site is even more fluid than on YT.

Exactly. The fps is very smooth compared to the typical BWF stream on youtube.

    Hello!
If you're unlucky and live in a country where badminton isn't broadcasted on TV you probably watch it on Youtube, if you can.
Anyway, then you already know that todays live-streaming has not been very good. Laggy, and more or less unwatchable.
If you didn't well, now you know.

But, to really show bad it is... They upload what they showed on you Youtube later, uncut. That means that, in case you want to watch the matches after they are finished you will have to watch laggy matches.

Some of these matches even leave out whole sets or in one case almost the whole match!!

    Example 1 : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sOySdiPBpj0

Tien Minh Nguyen - Lee Dong Keun. Very laggy, hard to watch. On a second watch, this video is NOT very laggy, just a bit laggy. Anyway, this is maybe the best quality video. Fast foward to 52:00 to see what I'm talking about.

    Then for the horrible examples...

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VMr7fkp8rfg

    Howard Shu - Nan Wei.

The video is only 34 minutes or so long. Even though the match was 54 minutes. The whole 3rd set is just removed. ALSO! If you watched the "Highlight" video:

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oXwZSmZZDfA Here

Then you can see a certain point, where Howard Shu got faulted. That happens around 30:42 or so in the full match. BUT it is so laggy in the original video that that point more or less gets skipped altogether! Why is it in such good quality in the highlight video but not even aviable in the full match? And then the whole third set just dissapears!

And the the worst offender at all. The Kento Momota - Dieter Domke match. During this match the live-stream was more or less shut down.
They uploaded it(automaticly?) after it was finished
The video is only around 6:20 long.

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TUse-PgA58U

How is this acceptable in 2015? Why did this happen? If anyone that has power in the IOC is watching this, would not that person think that badminton is unfit for the Olympics? It's a really bad thing for badminton, and sport in general. This all needs to be fixed ASAP! Hopefully they will do something about this tomorrow.

The offical Live-stream on BWF TV has almost as many dislikes at it has likes. As I'm writing this it does seem to work more properly, but yeah. Those old uploaded vidoes should get updated I think. Since the highlight video had such good quality, perhaps there are videofiles out there that isn't laggy? Because, in 2015 it should not be allowed for the Official videos to lagg, or to miss sets, or to miss the whole match...

I know. Some of the videos they upload - after the live streaming is finished - are completely asynchronous and unwatchable.

Agreed with everything that has been said. Now as I am watching the match of Victor Axelsen vs Petr Koukal live at court 1, my laptop suddenly hang till now it is still in a hanging mode and I guess it will be hanging on forever and I won't be able to watch the whole match live after all.

I agree that it is disappointing that the livestream is working poorly on Day1. Hopefully they are working on a solution. Maybe it is a problem with the equiptment there in Jakarta. Or an issue with Youtube. (Interesting that a German site streamed very well this morning.)

By all means, let BWF know about the problem. But we should be a little thankful that they are at least trying to give us something we haven't had before: coverage from Day 1 with commentary.

Tried South Korea with Hola and it didn't work as well. Anyone else got it to work with another country proxy?

Strange all BWF old videos work except the World Championship.
