I don't understand the logic here, either. What's stupid about comparing things (or players)?

I believe he was referring to Fan123, but I'm not sure. Still, you do have strong opinions, and at times you state them in an equally strong fashion. You might want to keep an eye on that habit and be careful that it doesn't become a problem...
I know because I have that same tendency ;)

Again, not 100% sure, but I guess he means comparing players from (very) different eras is futile. You can always compare direct competitors (such as LD/LCW, or even those two/CL), but it's hard (imop even impossible) to make fair comparisons between players who competed in a different era or discipline.

I like your above quote ;)

But...if it's strictly observed to achieve a higher quality... or folks just speak up (read: write) based on knowledge and intelligence then I'm afraid that many threads in BC incl. this one will be pretty short.

It's so true that some BCer did say that the Luo twin is the weakest pair among the CHN WD pairs in int'l circuit nowadays.

The KOR waste prematurely one of its MD pairs in R16 today having their two pairs fighting e.o. and tomorrow CHN will waste one WD just in QF stage.

It's bad idea to see the same country fight in the early stage in a World Cup whereas the number of players from each NOC is much limited.... they should have no problem to put each in different quadrant so they can only see e.o. in the SF provided they make it by that far.

I can't find the orginal post from KB@TB Em but you have to have Flash Player to use livescore. I think it comes with Windows but you have to download it if you use iOS.

Since WC is an individual event, I think accurate seeding is better than country separation. In OG, I think there should be separation of same-nation players.

with Srikanth dusted away... should be slightly easier for LCW to be assured of a medal now. Lin Dan will have to provoke Jan O into losing his temper to win... it'll be nice to see Denmark secure 2 medals though... :) hope you guys rested well, I'll catch u guys later.

I was always certain LCW would get a medal no matter what. The colour was the only thing that was yet to be decided.

it used to be steady silvers... before Chen Long bucked up his game... now CL has a 50% chance at gold... while Lin Dan and Lee Chong Wei have a 25% chance each to secure a gold... either way, there's bound to be a string of broken hearts starting today at the quarters.

Not sure, don't think Chrome in Android supports Flash.

Myself, I use Dolphin browser in Android with Flash built in. Works a treat.
