A little bit of summary about Jeon Hyeok Jin who is touted to be a hero or star for Korea. It is even said that Jeon Hyeok Jin will be the best replacement for Lee Hyun Il. However, sad to say I don't think so because today he just lost to Vincent Wong Wing Ki in the first round if the tournament. To be honest and frank, Vincent is not even a famous MS player. So I would say Jeon Hyeok Jin performance thus far and he is still inconsistent.

Players who are managed to avoid LD and CL before final are lucky. These also include CTC, THW, Sho Sasaki apart from Ajay. I think Sho Sasaki proabably has better chance in the semifinal than Ajay. The other seminalist in the lower half is either CTC or THW (equal chance).

Actually, Tian HW isn't doing well either. Both he and Srikanth are going thru a painful, difficult period in their careers. I don't think switching to doubles, XD and/or MD, is an option for Srikanth, is it ? Guess, we've to give them more time.

Sun Yu did well to dispose of Mitani Minatsu, but, unfortunately, she earns herself the right to play , of all persons, Li Xuerui. Hard luck for both of them.

THW, Momota, Srikanth and Victor are four rising stars in MS and likely to reign post Chen Long era. The performance of THW in this tournament is quite important for him if he want to give himself a fight to go to RIO's16, especially if the games he beat CL in last tournament was a real game.

she should do enough to qualify. plus she has no equal in her country. just need to avoid major injury and work on her endurance.

I am not saying that Vincent is not good I am just saying that he is not a famous MS player. By the way I do admit that Jeon Hyeok Jin is a good player but I still think his result till now is still inconsistent.

He is a very good player and will certainly establish himself in the coming years. Just played his first tournaments coming from the juniors and was already in some finals and even winning one. What do you expect him to do?

And WWK is also a good player. Really dont get your point. Have you ever seen them play?

An amusing remark from the Japanese coach about the smart, mindful wind from above 2014 Asian Games link:

"The wind in this stadium is very strange, always supporting the hosts. Every time we change sides, the wind seems to change sides as well," Japan’s badminton coach Keita Masuda said after Japan lost to the Koreans.

    :D
