With Chen Long pretty good at the net, seldom troubled by anyone, the opponent is forced to play more clears, that's when he can unleash his thunderous smashes.

A placement smash that caught CL by surprise, he lifts loose and AJ punishes it.

Yes, underdog can play freely and throw caution to the wind, nothing to lose.

AJ sees CL ready to pounce at the net, lifts a bit short and was duly punished.

Hello, umpire, it's Finals day, cut the players some slack, please, no need to hurry them.

CL has forgotten it's AJ's birthday.

Fox, how about you remind him before the 2nd game starts ?

Looks like Chen Long won't give any birthday gift....If it was Master Dan,he would have let Ajay win just like he let PG win in his last match..It requires a heart of a lion to be like that..

not sure if it is the coaching or the Chinese women players still injured but one thing for sure is they no longer dominant. now the Chinese women players not creative, always same methods and style which make it easy for opponents to read the game. they should change and vary their approach and use the brain more playing.

Twice caught at the net, rare for CL.

Sad to hear that, more serious than I thought, it ended Yao Ming's career.

Even Chen Long knows to play a flick serve once in a blue moon, influenced by LCW ?
