Chen Long started the tournament a bit off-form and gradually plays himself into form match by match, and on Finals Day, I think he is still not at his best - what a resounding victory for the World Champion to retain his title !
I'm sure LXR's masterclass display here will make both WYH and WSX feel uneasy about their Rio ticket chances now. But it's early days yet, nothing is certain until the ticket is in your hand.
It can break jaw,you know? There was one named 'Love Parikh'...had a devastating Mawashi Geri as you named...once connected me in my face in training when our Master told 'Just touch and back'...felt like hammer blow. His face was just like YYS..dull in studies..but a master in these....height 6''1 at that time.
Congratulations to Li Xuerui for a magnificent victory playing one of her best badminton throughout the tournament to successfully retain her crown. Also congratulations to P V Sindhu for being runner-up, her wins over the likes of Tai Tzu Ying,Wang Yihan and Carolina Marin en route to the final were nothing short of a remarkable feat of top level badminton. Indeed Sindhu is a much improved player and we should expect to see her mounting the winners' rostrum more often in the near future. As I've said before, the WS field is still wide open, and I believe any of the top 10/15 WS players can beat each other on a good day. There is no dominant WS player since LXR injured herself last October at the French Open'14, and the situation is likely to remain so for the next several months at least,if not a year or two, LXR's phenomenal victory here notwithstanding, that is unless and until LXR finally overcomes the demon in her.My two cents.
Congratulations to Chen Long............................................ You are the BESTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
