Yeah - it flashes when it pulls tension too Another cool thing I forgot to mention - this particular machine was previously used at Wimbledon and is the one on the left in this video - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S5BvZP5lNBM
I presume it used to be Liam's then? If its the one he used on his stringing courses, its a great machine, but I did see some novice on the badminton only course in MK wrap string all around the turntable.......no idea how?? It took fifteen minutes and two stringers to untangle it!
After about 5 years of service my Shuttle Express will retire, managed to extend it's lifetime with a WISE I got myself a secondhand Tyger Stringprofi 69, for only 150 euro's which really was a bargain as it was barely used. I was also very happy that my Chudek supports fitted the Tyger, coming from the Shuttle Express. Still need to get badminton clamps, I'm getting the hi-end universal ones from tennisman I think.:
You mean these clamps? => http://www.tennisman.de/Weiteres/Be...OFI-Haltezange-Universal-High-End-1-Stck.html I can highly recommend them, they are just plain brilliant. Directly compared to the more expensive Gamma clamps, it pretty hard to tell which one is which. What could be interesting for you also is that the Superstringer universal clamps are also available in a slimmer 4-teeth version which is perfect for badminton. Materials used and overall quality is the same and they even hold a 45 lbs. tennis stringjob with ease (I personally tested it). When I bought my T20 machine, I could choose between the two versions of the clamps and decided in favour of the 4-teeth version. But since they are currently not listed in the online catalogue, you need to contact Mr. Tennisman directly if they are an option for you. Very nice machine for a really good price by the way....
Will you get the 4-teeth or the 5-teeth version? Eitherway, you will not regret this! The clamping action feels sooo smooth, I almost couldn't stop playing around with them while watching TV the first evening I had them. On my list is still to write a more detailed review of the T20 machine including those clamps. Hope to find some time next weekend to take some pictures and write it.
I hope that you adjust the tower much wider, before you string a racket. The shoulder supports for top and bottom are damn close.
thanks everybody here for all your tips and advice. this is me, gamma x-6fc & wise. storage unit with custom pull out shelf. in action
Wow, this must be the best organized and most groomed stringing places I have seen in here to date. Very impressive!
