As i expected, saina's injury seems aggravated. She withdrawn from HongKong open . Hope she recovers soon. She can't afford to withdraw from tournaments in this crucial time. I have not thought She will reach finals of china open 2015 when she was in such a condition. But she proved me wrong. She defeated many good players to enter finals but could not deliver to her full potential in the finals. Hope she recovers well soon .
Actually WSX can't afford to withdraw from here, her ticket to Rio is still an open question. Wonder if she'll be at Dubai, I really hope so.
Wednesday round 32 schedule has some matches scheduled to start at 11 pm. I bet it will end at 1 or 2 am Thursday again
The problem I believe is that the event is hold, like all badminton tournaments, in one hall. It could be spread on two venues, for at least the qualification and first round. Better efforts would have to be made for selling tickets, but considering almost nothing is made in Hong Kong in that regard, I think it could be possible.
The local organizer should arrange XD matches to be played at first day of tournament after qualification round. I notice some Superseries tournaments with 4 courts apply this arrangement to avoid late-night matches.
This is a good idea but unfair for the qualifiers who might have to play many matches on one day. Especially those who play qualifiers in men's/women's doubles and mixed doubles. I guess the way to avoid that is the qualifiers still play their first round on Wednesday whereas all the other first round mixed matches can be on Tuesday.

Usually, four XD matches which involving the qualifiers are scheduled to play on Wednesday but yeah, there's pro and contra about this.
Tago is not the player he was, definitely not without Park Joo Bong's coaching... he's also grown into quite a potato... so while the basic skills are there.... I don't see him in the top 10 anymore. Conclusion: He's toast at round 32 vs Son Wan Ho. If any Malaysian is to get past quarters, it's Lee Chong Wei. Wish him luck against the angry dragon, LOTS of it!
Ideally, I would love to see LCW topple both the dragon, and if possible LD in the semis. I really can't see Son Wan Ho defending his title here, nor seeing Srikanth getting into the semis like he did last year. I think it's probably end of the road for Srikanth facing Tian Houwei of China. I can imagine Srikanth falling out of the top 10 by the end of the year.
srikanth will have too face his nemesis TWH... Son wanho is so inconsistent can beat a good player and lose to a normal player .... ld against ctc should b close ....
Kenichi Tago taking out Wang Tzu Wei by an identical score of 21-15 is a good showing. I think he'll give Son WH a run for his money.
