While anything is possible, Team CHN with Chen Long and Lin Dan is still too strong! They just need to steal a double match or take the MS3 too with wither Tian Houwei or Wang Zhengming.

If INA is to face CHN earlier, I don't think INA will prevail. However, JPN may just sneak a win with Kenta Momota and their 2 doubles. So, I hope that will be the draw :) We may also face a hard time against Team KOR with their 2 strong doubles (Hendra/Ahsan & Angga/Ricky don't really have good records against Lee/Yoo & Kim/Kim or Ko/Shin).

Indeed, I am quite contented & satisfied with a long-awaited Team title today, no matter how weak the other teams are (eg: CHN or KOR).

INA won against Team A of defending TC champion 2015 in TC Qualifying championship. The real TC finals championship will come in due time May. INA proves to us our regeneration project is doing well.

Who is the commentator? He is a big fan of Taufik for sure. He said it over and over during Ginting's match. And Ginting's style of play reminds him a lot to Taufik.

Congrats to Indonesia. This junior team won the South East Team Competition, now they win Asian Team Championship (BAC). Hope they will win the Thomas Cup in May, even though it's going to be a very difficult task.

Well, double disappointment for JPN team as they failed to lift trophy in both Men's and Women's team despite JPN bring full force here.

Excellent job by INA youngsters, they prove INA long history in badminton team event, this victory springs new hope to dream and bring back Thomas Cup soon :)

Anything is possible in sport ;) Both CHN and DEN have two solid MS but INA have slight advantage in doubles category. KOR isn't so good in singles department but they have two strong MD, pretty similar situation with INA team.

Welcome back guys in this forum :)

I wonder will Korea (Thomas Cup) brings back Lee Hyun Il as 3rd MS? Korea has 2 strong MD and "pretty" strong 1st MS (Son Wan Ho).
Lee Hyun Il is almost assured of 1 pt as 3rd MS.

Just to clarify. Lee Hyun Il is long ago an independent player and plays only for himself. He won't represent Korea in any team events anymore. Okay I agreed that Korea has an extremely good MD 1. But then lets not forget that their MD 2 is not so reliable and may lost too. Okay lets just say that Korea have 2 extremely good MD. But then Korea right now doesn't have any good MS players. Both Son Wan Ho and Lee Dong Keun are famous for their early round exits in tournaments too. Lets not forget Korea poor performance versus Hong Kong whereby they nearly lose the match.

So to qualify we need to talk about having good MS players too. Unfortunately the situation as it seems now for Korea is such that they have only 2 good MD but no good MS players at all. The result would have been easily Korea lose 2-3. So hoe to reach the finals and stand a chance to win the Thomas Cup. As for Uber Cup Korea also just won't stand a chance to win too because China is too strong. In year 2014, Korea lost in the quarterfinals. We will once again be seeing the same players playing again this time. So how to win the Thomas Cup 2016 when in 2014 they lost in the quarterfinals.

I am not trying to belittle Korea here but then I also know that they stand no chance at all even before the tournament has started. The only difference is the third MS player whereby Jeon Hyeok Jin will play replacing Soo Hwang Jung. This is just my personal opinion but I may be wrong too.
