Well, not very inventive, but I use cut tubes as pencil holder, paperclip holder and coupon holder. When the kids were younger, they used them to make rocket ships and tunnels for toy cars.
I use mine to keep some small badminton accessories. Currently I have replacement over grips, 2 packets of string, foldable scissors, pen and a small roll of tape. I also have a resealable bag with first aid stuff that I shove in the tube. The tube keeps it all organized and stops my scissors and pen from destroying my bag.
Why? Use it as backup racket, of course! (Anyone remember Lin Dan and Bao Chu Lai's exhibition game? Was that in LA?)
Can't really think of a sustainable re-use of the tubes. Good thing is that they are mostly made of cardboard and should be ready to recycle. Unlike tennis balls tubes which are made of plastic..
I use the tube for my refurbished shuttles. Yes I am pulling feathers and gluing them together again. We don't reuse them in club play, only for warm up so I use some when playing with my boy, and stocks are pilling up.
Could be used to train smashes like how Lee jae Bok teaches..but the troublesome thing is that you need someone else also
I have seen kids glued 3 of them together, tied a string to hang across the shoulder, and used it as a manual shuttle dispenser for training.
My friend has his own Origami business & uses empty tubes to ship things like Origami flowers. Saves him a bit on packaging.
