We have learned two new phrases which should come in handy in the future :

" Not to be confused with their North East Asian neighbours"

    'do a CHN'

Actually I think the Japan pair Fukuman/Yonao can qualify for Rio. They are n.9 now but the Luo sis won't go to Rio, so that might get them to the 8th position? I am not sure that is the way it works

Glad you could detect my sneaky shorthand ( or backhand or forehand! ) It s meant to also double up as a deceptive IQ test. I m pleased to let you know your IQ is above 100.

By the way, 'do a CHN' was first and often used in 2008 at the height of CHN match fixing. ( perhaps someone can provide the link to the thread. Brilliant researcher limsy did such a good job of proving this exclusive Team CHN activity that it was ambushed by badzine without according him credit.)

Why didn't you join BCF earllier? You could have obliterated limsy s research with your tireless, lengthy word puffs.
Actually, some CHN fans are proud of ' do a CHN'. Because at that time, only CHN has the resources and guts to butt BWF. See it as a backhanded compliment. I would be proud of it if I were a CHN fan.

talk and complaining is cheap but achieving results is a different thing. Perhaps can learn from Denmark which is also a small nation but managed to produce some world class players.

Deceptive it ain't, my little nephew could smell it miles away. And thanks, but no thanks for your backhanded compliment, above 100 IQ can very well mean 199, you know.

Your 'do a CHN' phrase is an oxymoron or trope that could only be invented out of spite by anti-CHN, hate-filled fans like you and your ilk, a bunch of sore losers, jealous bugs and hating fleas. Be careful not to give the wrong idea to others who might follow your malicious example gleefully and start creating derivatives like ' do a KOR', 'do an INA', or 'do a LCW' with similar sneaky, ill-intentions whose implied meanings could easily be inferred from the context. You see, a certain nokh88 is already toying with the idea, thanks to you. Besides, to use a nation as a derogatory term is downright unfair, unethical, racist, chauvinistic, provocative and could lead to unintended, dangerous consequences.

Exclusive Team CHN activity? Exclusive,my foot. In your next paragraph, you sort of contradicts yourself by explaining "Because at that time, only CHN has the resources and guts to butt BWF", thereby implying or as good as admitting any other nation in CHN's shoes would have gladly done the same and, indeed, that was proven to be the case in recent years, so much so that I'm sure you "would be proud of it if I were an 'XYZ' fan." Enough said.

Yes, with Luo/Luo as the third CHN WD pair in the R2R Standing at No.7 , Fukuman/Yonao at No.9 and as the second JPN WD pair is technically in.

That means that even if Fukuman/Yonao had beaten Misaki/Ayaka in the BAC final, they would still be at No.9, no change.

How sad that certain Malaysian and Singaporeans have hijacked this thread only to hate China(unable to do it properly because of one International warrior I admit )

Funny boxing bout discussion it offers but now I want to do a Li Yongbo on these posts.

I asked the same query to @Oldhand few days back, he replied like this

"Nope, it doesn't work that way.
The 'two per NOC (National Olympic Committee)' is only when more than one player (or pair) is ranked in the top echelon.
The top echelon comprises 16 ranks for singles and 8 ranks for doubles.

The BWF rank (the yardstick here) stays the same even if someone in the top echelon is ineligible by nationality rules.
(However, a spot does open up if a player is removed from contention by his or her NOC - as in the case of Kento Momota.)"

No they can't, they're still ranked ninth. The only way they can is if somehow takahashi/matsutomo give up their spot

But if Luo/Luo are discarded, then fukuman/yonao would be ranked no 8.

    Isnt that right?

If anything, Bumiputra priority does not apply in Malaysian sports. However, the different races in Malaysia tend to be selective in what sports they are interested in. As such, it is now rare to find a Malay table tennis player, or a Chinese football player, or a badminton player of Indian descent representing Malaysia.

Not exactly, although many have written them off, Luo twins are not officially out, at least not yet.
