I'd rather guess that it's a thinner string than he usually plays (66um or sth). If you mishit hard, it might be possible to break it loke that. Or he had super crappy string jobs on those...
Sorry idol, There is no one who can replace you. You would rather die on court if that would mean a victory for China compared to some who bend down as soon as the going gets tough.
Couldnt be further from the truth actually, with LD having an eye on Rio and another on potential future earnings he wont risk injury...other, younger players who cant qualify for Rio would be much more motivated. Not that they'd be a better option though, he still is a very good player.
