What a dominant performance by the reigning World Champions Hendra Setiawan/Mohd Ahsan! This is perhaps their easiest win over their arch-rival the World No 1 Lee Yong Dae/Yoo Yeon Seong in straight-sets: 21-15, 21-12. The Koreans never really found their footing right from the beginning and they were made to run around the courts to chase after the birds. You can see how frustrated Lee Yong Dae was today!

Ahsan's placements also surprised the Koreans in a couple of occasions and that won a few crucial points for the INA pair.

What can I say though.....when it comes to the really crunch matches, Lee Yong Dae once again fails to deliver the big performance needed of him. Nearly all the victories recorded by the INA pair over the World No 1 happened in important events:

Now, whether or not INA can win this SF tie is still unknown but I still have confidence in Hendra Setiawan/Mohd Ahsan. You can see the difference in their performance in big matches vs regular SS or group stage matches.

Indeed, how wrong it is to make a premature conclusion....and proven wrong big time!

Setiawan looks so calm, that was why he was Olympic champion before.

Hi hi thanks for your support. I hope so. But one will never know till the result is out. To be honest very unlikely Lee Dong Keun can nick it. Anyway thanks for having a big faith in LDK. I want to change too and have faith that he can win. :)

They're my favourite pair, however their performance in 2016 is disappointing, happy to see them play so well today, simply awesome

You are right about this. Speaking of 2016 their result has really been so so mediocre throughout beginning of year 2016 till May. But today I am extremely glad and happy that they have won and found their rhythm back. :)

To my surprise Lee Dong Keun is leading 11-9 now. You are not tired LDK? Arrived home at your lodging wee early morning hours yesterday now still full of energy? Wow. :)

Not in MD....and he hasn't even won a World Championships in MD. LYD is very much Lee Chong Wei....serial SS winners but when it comes to the real biggies, he will crumble.

How i wish Lee Hyun Il is playing. Oh Lee Hyun Il is already an independent player many years ago. He has been staying in Thailand for so many years and play as a club player for Granular club. He will not represent Korea team in any more team events. Age is not favoring him to play in team events anymore. Korea surely will miss him. :)
