No doubt about that. But just look at the wooden handle of the racket in the middle, you can see the other two has black paint till about 1/3 of the handle but the wide side of the middle one doesn't and you can clearly see that the smaller sides of it still has black paint further down. Hmm...

I'm pretty sure the machines that painted these racket wouldn't just out of the blue decide to skip a bit of the wooden part lol

I think he pulled off some sort of sticker thats usually on the wood there (before it's sprayed)....or maybe he sanded down some rough spots since I think he grips it fairly thinly and any bumps would be felt through it

The frames come gripless for the high level sponsored pros... So they can just grip to their current setup and personal liking. No need the hassle of removing the original grip like us mere mortals...

Here's Taufik's, from long long ago.

Yep. And also if you get the first wave of a new release and then immediately remove the original grip, chances are they will come off cleanly, from my own experience...

Tai Tzu Ying just posted some pictures on her facebook profile after winning against Maria Febe. Does anyone know what racket she was playing with in that match? I'm curious, since this would be (as far as I know) the first different racket after playing shortly with HX-800 and then switching back to her trusty TK-7000s.

I'll bet top dollar it's a new Thruster. Look at the angles of the paint work on the shaft. And the general placement of the colors on the head. It smacks of classic TK design layout.
