After some of the string jobs we saw at the All England, a mere crossover barely registers any more.

Well... I have to confess that this has been my own work...

I hate it when that happens but sometimes I just can't seem to get rid of them completely. I'm all ears for any good hint how to fully avoid them.

    I was only teasing re: over-fastidiousness. ;)
But the pro stringers must have a sixth-sense way of knowing.

Whether by experience or luck, it doesn't seem to happen to me as much now as it used to. For my own rackets I don't care about a cross. But with other's rackets I try to be more careful.

You know the quality of your own work. And a twist like that doesn't affect how well the racket will play. But others may see it as a signal of overall sloppy work. (An inelegant skin scar doesn't necessarily mean that the deeper operation was botched but it may --on certain nervous occasions -- make you wonder how well the vasectomy took.):D

Hi Charlie, no on the Aero Titan, the Titan swings fast enough. More focused on durability and impact feel.

Update: sorry folks, this Panda hasn't been around the past couple of months. Lots of crazy stuff happened.

Long story short, Panda was taking care of Papa Panda who was terminally ill. Papa P passed on in early May. Prior to that, everything was on hold. Now that everything has been taken care of Panda can get back to badminton.

May the soul of the dearly departed rest in peace, may our prayers help guide him on his journey to our Creator.

I have a light Trinity Pro now, enjoyed it last night. Is it an old model or one that's still about?

My thoughts are with the panda family.

Dave, tpro is long gone but its spirit lives on in the (much improved) titan. Its not so extreme on the spec bit i darent ask dink about lead weighted handles read back 10 pages or so. I'm glad you like it :)

Hello guys...sorry was out of touch with this thread. I have used Ultra Pro (still going strong) and Revelation (was broken last year). Big fan of Panda racquets. Is the current model still in production?

Yes, sort of. The new Panda Power Titan will be very similar to the Ultra but the weight will be lighter, shooting for 80-85g, BP290-310. Additionally the shaft will be more forgiving.

Oh boy.... if you add now a decent design, it will be tough to resist the temptation... :p

I really like the feel of the Revelation as long as it had lasted before the frame caved in. :(
