I saw this a few days ago.

LD changed his string preference, and I didn't realize at first sight but he chose an higher tension on main. This isn't common right ?

Seems to be a typo. 32 main and 31 cross would made the racket look like "Hey Arnold's face".

ha ha ha May be. how ever if the stringer stretch the racket to compensate that then the racket will look just fine. Interesting though that Lin Dan change back to BG80 from BG66UM.

I was just wondering.. What are the Chinese players now recently use? Yonex strings? Li Ning No.1?

And how could BG65 become the standard?

Chinese players will use LN strings unless difficult to obtain, in which case they'll probably use Yonex as it is most readily available and consistent.
No.1 is a superb string. Gonna switch to it completely once the reels get here :)

I am on Li Ning No.1s now.. Cannot get enough of it.. Eventough my skills could probably do some work for the string and the rackets.. I still love it.
Btw, I was asking this because if @paulstewart64 release it's victor lists, and we have people with yonex pictures.. There are no guys that post Li nings.. That's why I was wondering.

Kim Dong Moon used to run 28/25 (sic).

    That's Stewie Griffin's face.

You could really see it though, LD's racket has a normal shape....so I guess it's a typo or one-time thing

In the pics of KDM's racket it was a very obvious tabletennis paddle, but I'm not sure how a -1 differential would look.

Has anyone seen this hybrid setup for Endo? With such a large differential between the diameters of the mains and the crosses, will the frame deform over time?

    He posted a photo mate.

Feels like Endo's racquet will look funky.

Doesnt change the fact it's not available, mate.
The url indicates a video though.
If you want an answer to something, make sure your question can be seen.

The fact is we could see it. It is an image, not a video. And it shows sample strings with different thickness.

Are you using Tapatalk? I've seen it a couple of times that linked media does appear as a broken link in Tapatalk whereas being perfectly fine in the browser version.

    @kwun
Could you have a look into this?

Are you being intentionally dense? My point was that me - and thus very likely an additional sizeable portion of members - cant see the linked picture or video or whatever the frick it is. That means they cant judge - and that in turn means that the person asking the question has cleverly denied themselves possible answers.

Regarding the question - different string diameters for mains/crosses dont stress the frame any different than a regular string job, but grommets have a shorter life span with thinner diameters.
But since I cant see whats been posted, I have no idea what the (hypothetical) issue is.

Just tried it also in Tapatalk with the same result. It's clearly linking to a video but also in the browser we could only see a single picture (here as simple screenshot):

    Strange.
