Why? The Danes are the underdogs and expected to lose...

I mean, they will probably lose-- but it won't be embarrassing in any way... even just considering the age diff btw JPN and DEN.

The 2013 National Games of China was won by ZYL/WXL.

I doubt any WD pair from the 2012 London Olympics or 2016 Rio Olympics can take a single set from them

i think it is entirely possible to have no gold for China. now already 2 down, and then MD is barely 50%.

singles are still in good standing but none of them are a slam dunk and the competition is stronger than 4 years ago.

this has happened before, in 1992, where a dominating Chinese team from the late 80s came up with zero gold in 1992, that prompted a total reorg of the whole team and old coaches kicked out and then LYB put into place. and slowly the team grew stronger and stronger for 20 years. and then now it is in decline, again.

    life is just a cycle.

    2016 ?

A psychological barrier has been broken in WD like WS. Countries will not fear China and know they are beatable.

Vladimir Ivanov is tall too but he is so good playing MD and MS unlike Hong Wei. How do you explain Ivanov's success in MD?

China got no Gold, One Silver, and couples of Bronze in 1992 Olympic. This Olympic couldn't be worse than that.

LYB is very capable of shaking things up and overnight we might see a completely new line up of women players. Remember early 2000s when chin ee hui-won Pei ty were ranked 1, that was mainly because entire China women division got revamped..even LD's wife was not spared

I wish ZN/FHF dominate the English players, and thus shut the BBC commentator up

Err, age is a real thing-- you are acting like us Taufik fans, who selectively forgot the fact that he played worse after 30 (but quicky retired to leave a good memory in our minds), LOL
