He needs to win Asian Games 2018 and he will be almost 30 by then.

Yup, excluding the Asian Games, Chen Long has completed the badminton Grand Slam. Some sport writers exclude the AG , some do include. Anyway Lin Dan has two AG MS titles as well as 2 AG team titles.

Chen Long has one AG team title, Guangzhou 2010. The closest he came to winning an AG MS title was in Incheon 2014 where he took silver after losing to Lin Dan. He'll have to wait until 2018 Asian Games to have another go at it, by then he'll be 29 years old, should still be strong enough to capture it I believe.

Arguably, I'll say Chen Long has completed the Grand Slam as the Asian Games is largely an Asian affair though a very strong multi-sports event for badminton as most of the strongest contenders happen to be Asian.

You may also PM him, unless it's a common problem faced by many people who may want to have their input.

I don't consider AG part of the grand slam because its not open to all. Personally think CL has already completed the grand slam after his Rio victory.

However, I do think he has a good shot of winning AG 2018, and imo should dominate up to Tokyo 2020.

Asian Games are like Life and Death to Asian Powerhouses.

Chen Long will give his all to win Asian Games 2018.

CL will be gunning for 2 OG for sure. To match the legend. At least. ;)

We shall wait for the future legend to win 3 OG. Who will it be? In our lifetime? ;)
