Sure you could. But you won't know how much such a modification will change the way the racket plays.
Fair but if you start with a 4U, which he said lacks power but the 3U seems too heavy and is tiring, then maybe he could find a middle ground by adding a tiny bit of weight in a few key places. Maybe cut the strips super small and put at 12,3,6,9 and maybe a bit on the cone?
Sure you could do that. But the racket looks ugly enough as is. I really wouldn't want to put any more silver on it,especially that dull lead color.
Valiant idea. But there's too many colors and shades of colors on rackets now...damn thing's gonna stick out either way haha.
N9 better in attack while js 12 3u a bit better in defence but a lot better in net play. Though my js 12 is 4g heavier but during play time i felt N9 is heavier more solid n stiffer.
I've got a couple of rackets with athletic tape on the head similar to what Lin Dan and Chen Long used to do. I think it works better than the lead tape because it's an even weight distribution. The only caveat to doing this, is that the racket has to be stiff enough to 'take' the extra head weight. I added some to a BS11 and it was rubbish, so as long as you're adding it to a racket that's stiff enough, its well worth a try.
why does the jetspeed s12 have no indication of the the head wieght?? i think i bit head heavy but i could not see anything on my racket nor in the internet to be sure
Because victor has moved to a different style of classifying their rackets. Instead of the old system where it was classified on their frame technology/profile alone, they've decided to go with a system of what kind of performance they racket is designed for. Like Speed is for the JS and BS lines, the Control branch is the MX and HX lines, and Power is the TK line. Why they make it confusing. I don't know. But it only becomes a real hassle when you do not have access to a shop stocking their rackets to let you try the dry swing and feel.
Has anyone here measured the balance point on your Jetspeed 12 racquet? -Dry or (strung + grip) weight is fine, I'm just after a loose approximation-confirmation. My guess is that its slightly head heavy? >290mm BP Curious to know what it is and cheers in advance!
No brainer tbh. Knowing victor. You'll soon find some in the even balanced range. And all over the weight classes.
Oh I see, thanks for the clarification. I was hoping for tighter manufacturing tolerances and smaller variances. A guy at my club just got a JS12 and I was tempted to get one after hearing much about it.
If you want to get one. The time is now before there's newer batches and the moulds get a little looser and the notorious victor QC comes in.
