I'm an intermediate player and more of a smasher. I uses yonex carbonex 8000 plus racket. My string which came strung on racket is about to break. So, now which string i should use to strung my racket. I play with mostly Nylon(Plastic) shuttles - Yonex mavis 350 and 500. Please give suggestions.

I'm looking forward yonex strings. But other suggestions are also invited.

If you don't know which string to use: BG65 @22lbs is for plastics a save bet. Any other string will mean a lack in durability. If you choose more performance, the durability will drop rapidly. If you choose higher tension the durability will drop as well. Forget any string below 0.68 with plastics.

How come everyone says they are a hard smasher?

But if you're truly a hard smasher, then BG80 @23 lbs would be a good start.

Not everyone. I'm a weak smasher in terms of power when I compare with other guys at my level. I just go over placement, angle and variance which will cut down the power department a bit.

Most definitely... with experience and age (mostly age ), I'm becoming more of an energy efficient player, that is, placement, angle, variety, touch shot over power.

@visor you are right most people who call themself "hard smashers" have a spready smash. If they hit you, they get the point otherwise it goes in the net or out most of all time. Some of these hard smashers hit soooo hard that a simple block or drive make them look old.

@dbswansea you don't count. Your forearms are bigger than the upper legs of an average badminton player and just one arm has more muscle mass than LCW's whole body.;)
