i recently looked ashaway spiral and yonex dg series ....which is good among these for good smashing and gives more power? please help me fast
Sometimes you get the answer you need and not the answer you want. Racquets are different for all people. There are many factors that determine what is good for one person. Smash power is technique first, racquet probably isn't even second.
i used carlton air blade series... tomorrow am going to buy a new racket but don know which to buy ....i like yonex dg and ashway spiral series ....which one you recommend?
smash power is technique >>> fitness >> string +tension + shuttle speed > racket So go to youtube watch a smash of a hard hitting pro player in super slow motion , picture for picture, until you get every detail from toe to eyes, do some off court swing practice till it feels right (when it feels odd watch again and again ... till you have every thing) than go on court practice it.
Unfotunately, the question is not a good one. Hence, the lack of an answer. It's like asking which range of cars will get you fastest from A to B.
Look I don't disagree that technique and good coaching will pay off, but the guy wants a new racket. Yonex 'DG' is a frame technology, not a specific racket. It's supposed to be stronger carbon than previous models. So the 'DG' frames will be different depending on the model. It has no correlation on whether or not the racket will be good for smashing. Generally the Voltric 5 and 7 are popular rackets for intermediate players. They're a bit head heavy so they'll be suitable for rear court shots, like clearing and smashing.
Yeah but how to advise someone who puts one racquet against a range of other racquets. It's like saying which one is better? Volkswagen Golf 1.6FSI or Toyota Camry...like there must be 10 versions of Toyota Camry' that you can buy.
My experience with the Voltric 7 was awful. I like to play with voltaic 80 or ZF2, but the 7 was so bad I could not do a proper clear. I borrowed the racquet from my coach and I think it was strung at 33 or something. It is probably why. Normally I string at 27.
IMO the technique and fitness are the keys for a good smash. A good smash, could also be a less powerful one compared to others, but is more effective. The answer, which you don't like: I think you should ask yourself why does your smash don't make the point? The angle could make a powerful smash look bad, if it goes out, get drived back agressive or is easy to counterattack. Variance is also a key. I'm not a hard smasher, if I compare me with other guys at my level, but my smash is effective and hard to predict. You will ask why? I don't lack angle and use variance, I use a bunch of variance of placement, I can change my smash in a row, I can control my smash and place it very well. But more important is the ability to create the chance to smash 80-100%. As long as you are not able to create the chance a smash becomes ineffective These thing you won't get with a new racket or string job or new string. It means hard practice and drills. The other answer, which you don't like, too: Don't go for a real banger. You need to create the opportinity to smash well and with a head heavy and stiff monster only a few people will be happy in all departments to create it. I suggest an even balance 3U or head heavy 4U with a mid flex to mid stiff shaft. The DG are monsters, and as long you are not a monster, you won't be happy in every department. I agree with @dbswansea. I can't give you the answer which you like, but it is IMO the only correct answer to prevent making you unhappy and spending money for nothing.
