She wasn't just her in the decider, going on and off repeatedly. Only flashes of her recent form. SJH brought 2 extra gas cylinders with her I guess. Almost nothing work after SJH got the string of early pts. Sigh
Anyways hope TTY wins, would be some consolation.

Players in semifinals will get $40,000 And Runner up will also get the same $40,000. So why sad !

    Only winners will get $80,000

OK, the handsome Janet to take on Zi Ying for the WS crown tomorrow. Will Janet beat Zi Ying again, repeating her success in the group match ? I think so, maybe 60% chance.

(Why I called Sung Ji Hyun, Janet, you wonder ? You have to ask our dear kwun, he started it.)

Goh/Tan to final after defeating Chai/Hong 21-18, 21-13. Their second ever final this year and seventh wins over the pair.

let's see whether Goh/Tan able to win against Kamura/Sonoda in final just like Thomas Cup Final in year 2014, or the japanese pair would win them again after MAS GPG early year...

TWK is looking great today, only some mistakes. I hope they can play well too tomorrow against the fiery Kamura/Sonoda.

Great performance by TTY, she held it together today and made very good use of deceptive shots against the giant Sun Yu.

SJH has really made tremendous progress. She suffered a painful loss the China Open against Sindhu, winning G1; and leading in G2 but failing to convert 3 match points, and ending up losing the decider. I am not surprised she was able to overcome Sindhu today. She was calm and composed and made very few mistakes. Will be interesting to see who wins the final although I think TTY has the upper hand here.

TTY has already made history by becoming the first WS player to qualify in three Superseries Finals finals. If she wins, she will become only the second after Li xuerui to win it twice.

A bit sad for Pedersen, losing in two semi-finals today. Not sure this double discipline commitment still makes sense at her age.

Good job by VA, that was pretty close one. It will be hard against TH who is so frustrating to play against.

Perfect final in MD, with a face-off of the N°1 and N°2 seed

Great opportunity for revenge for Taka/ Matsu after that scandalous last encounter in the China Open. Interestingly Japan had finalist in MS (momota) and WS (nozomi) whereas this year we have finalist in WD and MD.

Always confused about the ADCOCK... sometimes they look like qualifiers and other times they show brilliance

I don't think it's revenge cause they will play against a different pair
and also a different umpire, for that matter :p

Good point, clear-minded and rational. Right, people who see nationality bias and not the players as players tend to get their emotions mixed up. Well said.

It's something often being discussed in Danish media. There are pros and cons for her, doing double duty.

For this tournament, it was worth noting, that even though she had to play two matches each day, round 3 gave her a bit of a break, as she were qualified in one discipline (no matter the 3rd match), AND she had to play in the discipline that mattered first. In reality, it was a one match day for her - at least mentally.

Also, she says herself, that WD is much more demanding than XD for her. Due to less court coverage and not hitting so many demanding shots in long rallies (usually pushing forward, lifting cross to direct returns towards Fischer, etc.).
