still using bravesword 12 as my choice of rackets despite the arrivals of new rackets like JS10 and JS12
Does anyone know where I can still buy the BS12 MYP from as shop in KL Malaysia or if not online? Is there much diffference in the MYP version?
I dont think bs 12 myp is available as i know there are no malaysian players use this racket. KRP version is available, but it is really hard to find. Because they are not selling it in the market. Yes, the difference for player code is the frame is more head heavy and solid. It packs a punch!
I currently am using a BS LYD 3U and am wondering if I should buy a BS 12 4U for a fairly cheap price. If any of those Bravesword 12s you own are 4U, I would like to know how a LYD 3U and BS12 4U compare. (I'm mostly concerned that the BS 12 4U will be too light for me) Thanks
Don't even bother buying a 4U BS12. The BS12 in 3U is already quite fast. 4U BS12 will be too fast to the point, where there is no power in it
Hi ... im not a pro level badmiton player but here is my personal experience on it ... Yes. one of my BS 12 is 4U ... where the rest of my BS12 and B2 12 LYD are 3U and my BS12N is 3U KRP code. BS12 4U is definitely lighther compare tu BS12 3U and then.. BS12N 3U Krp code are more heavier and stiffer compare to the normal 3U version. On to your question. Yes. u will notice BS12 4U is ligther compared to your BS LYD 3U. lack of power. i mainly use it when im already tired Hope it helps.
Juz a quick qns, BS12 comes with the original version blue colour and later came with 12N (grey) and 12L (white/blue) right? Amongst the 3 versions, which is the best BS12 to use? The original blue version?
Some people prefer the BS12N (grey one), some people prefer the original blue version. IMO i prefer the original blue one
None. They're all the same more or less. The only difference in the 12L is that they cherry picked those models during QC because the shafts on them are just a touch more pliable compared to the regular Blue and Grey. Then they stick G6 handles on them.

Hi guys, started playing with these wonderful rackets about one month ago. Just love how it cuts through the air, very addictive how it lets you dominate fast exchanges... The only little downside of this racket is in the power department. I've got two of them, one strung with NBG99 @ 11kg, the other with BG66UM, same tension. The racket is just dull with NBG99, can't extract power from it. It's really more lively with BG66UM and a joy to play. Power is better too. My question is: which string should I try on my second BS12? The goal is not to make it a powerhouse, just to make it livelier and a little easier on big smashes I'm an intermediate player, playing 70% XD and 30% MD
I can suggest one NOT TO string on this: my go-to NBG98. It becomes dull and unresponsive, unable to do anything. EVEN AT 29lbs. The flexible shaft coupled with the medium feeling doesn't make this a catapult. I realise/guess/gut feel you should make the stringbed harder when the frame is more flexible for more boom. As such, BG80 could be a good bet. And thicker strings make the head ever so slightly weightier, you should find smashes a bit more easier.
I've been using VS890 for all my braveswords. For me it is the perfect string for this frame. I love how it holds tension so well and is so good in all departments. I personally think that with braveswords, we have reached a point in technical development where the racquet really cannot meaningfully be bettered (for doubles). Having used a lot of the current racquets including those from Victor, they all seem to be lacking something whilst trying hard to be better in other areas. The main flaw I've noticed is the lack of feel the new racquets have compared to the braveswords. The BS frame gives a very unique, raw feel that you just don't get with any other racquet. I'll continue to buy and try new racquets, but it will take a lot to pry me away from the braveswords for the foreseeable future!
hi all.. since long time following badminton central. this forum is really helpful and informative. I WANT SOME HELP. bought my brave sword 12 krp 3u few weeks back. i am facing unique problem. ironically my defence has drastically weakened with this racket. i am trying very hard to adjust with the fast frame but its just too fast for me. i keep miss timing it every now and than and absolutely unable to send the smash returns to the base line and the speed of my smash returns has reduced a lot. which is allowing the front court player to blocking my returns very easily, which was not the case with my voltric 5. about me, i am a higher intermediate player. my strength- good smashes and equally good defence. won city level mens doubles tournament recently. playing with voltric 5 since past 3 years. as i only play doubles, planed to upgrade my racket to brs 12( which is suppose to be doubles specialist racket) to further improve my defence. what i gain from brave sword 12 1. very very accurate net play. 2. improved drop shots and placements. 3. was able to do those impossible returns which make u look like a pro. what i lost after brs 12 1. no hard smash (i was expecting it so no problems) 2. unable to do deep smash returns.( which is very frustrating) 3. no speed in my smash returns. ( which is allowing front court player to block my returns all the time). than i switched to my voltic 5 for a change today n my defence was unbelievably accurate and powerful. and won the remaining games with ease. it was such a pleasure that i felt like playing the real badminton after such a long gap. so i am confused with the theory that light weight and fast rackets improves your defence? it surely improved my reaction shorts but my defence became pathetic in general. has it happened to any one else? is it normal for few players to have better defence with head heavy racket? should i stick to heady heavy rackets or should i give more time and efforts to even balance rackets like brs 12? any kind of replies will be appreciated. thanks
Nanogy 99 is pretty repulsive but not on 24lbs, maybe 28lbs. If you like medium feeling and thin string though, you should definitely try LN#1 on it. Imo, it feels more lively and repulsive than 66um on bs12. Sent from my ONEPLUS A3003 using Tapatalk
