Does this look like a compact head racket? That might be at least semi-interesting.

Well, I think the colorway is a bit too standard, as the Duora series have some cool colorways. Let's see when we have this one in person.

So is anyone taking bets on what 'Strike' is gonna mean? I'm betting repulsion, but not necessarily power.

I've been trying to work out where the hole in the range is for this racket to fit in. Duora is supposed to be the new Arcsaber so maybe this will be something like the ARC8DX.

I think what you said about a racket for the flat game is a good bet though.

That's my thought, it'll be designed for better flat play. Not sure what specs will be like though, I can't imagine them going much beefier than the D10. Maybe it'll be similar to the D10LCW spec.

Isn't the D10 and the D10LCW the same racket? Just a different color scheme?o_O

I think this racket will replace the gap of ZS and IS. The Duora turned all a bit meetier and even some Nanorays are not headlight. IMO the borders are not clear since a few years, so I expect somthing Z-Slashy or I-Slashy (compact head, a bit flex due longer shaft).

I doubt that they will launch anything like the 8DX anymore. The 8DX was not a great seller and was never replaced and runned out quite fast. The Arc10 was the flagship and got a replacement with the 11.

D10 LCW is supposedly less head heavy, despite being a repaint.

See I'm not betting on extra flex, and it doesn't look compact at a glance.

Hmmm, never get in touch with these issues, but I doubt that they make different rackets and call them the same. I think it's just the variation due production instead of a matter of fact overall. If I compare a 2U and a 3U, these impression could be the reason.

Yeah I don't think they'd go head heavier than DUO10 either. I don't think that's what they've got in mind for the Duora series.

Maybe they'll go a bit head lighter and stiffer than DUO10 for the Z-Strike. So like a stiffer DUO7.

So an extra stiff Duora, 295mm balance, would that make it an Arc10 replacement?

I guess it would. The Duo10 is about the same balance point as the Arc10 but more flexible as far as I've heard. So there is a gap for an extra stiff Duora there.

Same string, weight, grip and tension, strung by the same stringer on same machine at the same day? Sorry to say, but these impressions sounds to me very doubtful and I don't think this is in general intended by Yonex, to produce a signature of the same model with different characteristics. I heard these rumours a few times here, but I think this is more a production variance instead of a rule.

Not a gap, more an abyss. BTW balance point is useless. Same BP ist not the same as same head weight. When you come pare 2U and 3U, the BP is really pointless. A x-stiff Arc like 8DX was not a great seller. I think the demand for x-stiff rackets decreases since a few years and the techs of thinner shafts and the trend of lighter rackets will also change this issue. BTW most people in the market can't wield or are not familiar with x-stiff shafts. Also the pro players are an indicator for this trend.

You have been hearing from the wrong people. More flexible?
    I have arc10. I have a duora10lcw. I can tell you it's stiffer by quite a bit.

Oh sorry you're probably right. I've never played with either racket I was just going on the Yonex specs and measurements I've seen on DirectBadminton. Which could be wrong.
