Now that was an impressive review in @Justin L style. Really appreciate it, thanks. U completed/pursuing your degree from? Accept my compliment when I say, you surely are the most proficient one here unchallengeably. Learnt quite a few phrases and words from you, Tysm I saw few matches here and there, although it was difficult because of location confinement etc. Any links for CL vs LD or CYF vs HBJ?
My pleasure, thanks. You and @gelopisan are too kind. I 'm aware that in this forum are crouching tigers and hidden dragons , what I'm doing is modest in comparison whereas they are the wise, discerning ones who seldom speak but quietly observe whatever is going on, except on the rarest of occasions they deign to edify us by their golden words of wit and wisdom. Generally speaking, a university degree nowadays (in fact has been so for several decades) means little more than vocational training, not so much education in the best sense of the word. Humbly speaking, most of what I know is self-taught, I'm an autodidact so to speak as I believe my degree ill-equipped me to cope in the university of life and to understand the real world. Talking about education, two among my favourite great thinkers come to mind, one modern, the other ancient, namely John Dewey and Confucius, esp the latter whose views and teachings are still very much influential and relevant as ever. Allow me to share http://www.open.edu/openlearn/education/12-famous-confucius-quotes-on-education-and-learning Pardon me, I tend to digress too much.
Hehe lol, i doubt , hope m not amongst 'em too. No matter how captivating dragons may appear. Anyways, How u doing? U aren't as active as before?
I think LD vs CL above was one of the best Singles matches in the past 12 months (including the Olympics).
Really? I thought CL was visibly rusty after a long period of lack of training after OG gold. He made a number of uncharacteristic unforced errors that cost him. LD on the other hand, was very determined and had something to prove, what with his lack of medal at OG, and and his personal problems.
i found this youtube channel which has a lot of the latest tournaments from China.. badminton, volleyball, basketball, etc https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC0ffltB1oT_DlVhBc6nPuTg
What ? In fact, after a deep deep thought I even concluded that I am both "Crouching Tiger'' as well as ''Hidden Dragon".
I'm still waiting and hoping for somebody to be kind enough to post or share his private video of the Lin Dan vs Shi Yuqi CBSL 2017 match, the one that we all missed as there wasn't any livestream for the tie that day. Thanks, that's for China Basketball Association and surprisingly it includes videos for volleyball but I don't see any on badminton.
Yes, I agree albeit Chen Long seemed a bit rusty after taking a break post-Rio'16 and that match was his second in the CBSL unlike the final one with Son Wan Ho where he practically demolished an opponent who used to trouble him in team tournaments. Indeed, the LD vs CL CBSL match is one of the best MS encounters the past 12 months, virtually a cliffhanger.
How I wish somebody has a private video of the Lin Dan - Shi Yuqi CBSL match-up to share with us either on youtube or here.
While browsing the BWF tournament schedule, I realised there's the Thai Masters GPG commencing tomorrow. That should keep us entertained again for a while though without most of the top tier players/pairs, there are enough up-and-comers to whet our appetite. Interesting exceptions are the participation of WD Chen Qingchen/Jia Yifan and XD Zhang Nan/Li Yinhui as well as , for me, Chen Yufei, Chen Xiaoxin, Gao Fangjie, Zhao Junpeng, including some of the most promising INA, JPN and IND youngsters. Of course, Thailand the host is out in full force despite the absence of their ace Intanon Ratchanok. A few established contestants are also in attendance, such as, Hsu Jen Hao, Tommy Sugiarto, Sony Kuncoro, Darren Liew, P Kashyap.
In this case, I wonder how many shuttlers should we hate since everyone seems to beat our players here and there nowadays.
