Li Xuerui is not on the start list for BAC, instead Chen Xiaoxin is being played as WS4. Hope this doesn't mean that LXR has had some setback in recovery...
http://www.tournamentsoftware.com/s...id=9D5AE85E-5686-4389-95E6-D700293D2329&cid=4 She is currently on the (very large) SC roster. I believe it will be whittled down to 10men/10women, but I guess this means that she must be reasonably close to appearing on court once again.
The M & Q report is not even out yet, I beg your pardon, where did you get your news from ? Just curious.
If Li Xuerui is not playing any tournament at all prior to the Sudirman Cup, it's anybody's guess whether she is match fit. A mystery why Li Yongbo is fielding her for the all-important Sudirman Cup. Let's see what the master strategist LYB is up to, including his decision to recall retired Fu Haifeng just for the Sudirman Cup.
You can access the entries on TS, http://www.tournamentsoftware.com/sport/players.aspx?id=3F48544D-A795-4401-9AFE-23A5532931B9&c=CHN If we are going by normal timeline, I think draw should be out soon. Maybe early next week?
Coz it is http://bwf.tournamentsoftware.com/ranking/ranking.aspx?rid=70 She'll loose many points from India SS, so next Thursday she'll be off the first page
Master strategist needs miracles more for the Thomas Cup's that Chn have bundled in the past 2 editions
If she is registered for the Sudirman Cup, then I presume she will be given some easy games (against weaker opponents) in a strategic plan to get ranking points.
Clearly, Li XueRui is not well enough to come back at the China Masters. More ominously, she may not even be well enough to play in the World Championships. Besides Li XurRui's current condition, the Chinese team replaced Li XueRui with Chen XiaoXin for the Asia Championships, probably for Chen XiaoXin to gain some points to squeeze into the World Championships, in case that Li XueRui will not be ready. It's mind boggling that Chen XiaoXin was not entered into the China Masters. She obviously impressed enough people with her win at the Swiss Open to have earned herself a spot at the Asia Championships.
That's my concern too. Li Xuerui, by skipping so many tournaments because she's not ready to come back yet, sad to say, means she's out of the Glasgow World Championships as well. As for Chen Xiaoxin, I guess the coaches realized too late to enter her for the CHN Masters, not expecting her to win the Swiss Open GPG and the expediency of getting her into the WC in case LXR fails to make it. Hope it works out for CXX, if not LXR.
With SY, HBJ and my fav CYF in the fray, I don't fancy CXX's chances that much. But who knows the young gun triggers some serious fatality. Players with "yet to be explored weaknesses can be tricky". Also I don't really root for SY against almost any top12 WS, time and again she has failed to prove herself
Dont expect anything from LXR for first 6 mons after comeback. But surely she will get back into her rhythm. Initial months will be rusty. Currently Saina is going through that phase.
Better than to see her moping around. Keep up the spirit. Rest well, recover fully and come back stronger than ever!
