    The quarterfinals surely will be more exciting with less matches to follow and of course, better live coverage by broadcaster, hopefully :D think either CCTV-5 or CCTV-5+ will air some matches at least... will ready my sat TV to watch them. Waited the historic launch of 航母 yesterday just forgot about the BAC 2017 :p

    LD lost because he doesn't want to win. Oops...maybe I should substitute "lost" with 'didn't win".

    He want to give exposure to young shuttlers all around the world.
    Or he didn't have the 'correct' motivation to win in small tourney unlike OG and WC.

    But unfortunately, sindhu vs he bingjiao match is on court 4. We don't even know what happens there.

    Badminton fans await interesting matches tomorrow as tournament intensity will be escalated, China shuttlers dominate last eight with sixteen slots.

    Men's singles prominent trio, Lee Chong Wei-Lin Dan-Chen Long defeated their Japanese opponents to march on quarterfinal. Lee was troubled by Kenta Nishimoto at opening game then found his rhythm to outclass Nishimoto in second set. Next, the title holder should has no problem to eliminate Hsu Jen Hao while his two arch-rivals, Lin and Chen will be tested by resurgent Chou Tien Chen and HKG number one Angus Ng Ka Long respectively. Youngest quarterfinalist of this discipline, Shi Yuqi will face tough foe Son Wan Ho, the man who defeated this Chinese promising star in all four previous encounters.

    Mixed fortune for Korean WS, the consistent Sung Ji Hyun got unexpected losing to Nitchaon Jindapol but later in the afternoon Lee Jang Mi scored another upset to stun the off-form Sun Yu, the unheralded Lee surprised Nozomi Okuhara earlier. These two unseeded players will face off for a place in semifinal. The formidable Tai Tzu Ying is the only seeded player left on top-half of draw and will take on Chen Yufei. One more local blossoming talent He Bingjiao will meet Rio silver medalist Pusarla V. Sindhu. On TV court, the organizer puts intriguing tie, former World Champion Ratchanok Intanon against Japanese prodigy Akane Yamaguchi.

    Four Chinese pairs in MD each quarter, it's contrast fashion with Indonesia camp. In the absence of world number one Gideon/Sukamuljo, their compatriots couldn't do too much, all of them were crashed out at same stage. Former world number one Goh VS/Tan WK continue their slump performance, succumbed to home back-ups Wang YL/Huang KX in two straight-games. The marathon match saw Kedren/Puavaranukroh spent 78 minutes to eliminate just concluded CHN Masters runner-up, Inoue/Kaneko with maximum scoreline in decider, 30-28. Tomorrow's big match will pit the Olympic Champion Fu HF/Zhang N face Kamura/Sonoda.

    Women's doubles will focus on three nations that traditionally strong in this category, Japanese aces Matsutomo/Takahashi will meet Malaysians Vivian Hoo/Woon KW who downed home pair Huang YQ/Tang JH. Three CHN-KOR affairs will fill quarterfinal line-up, Chen QC/Jia YF will be favourite to book last four berth while two Korean established combinations Jung KE/Shin SC also All England Champion Chang YN/Lee SH are predicted to progress.

    In the upcoming match between HBJ and PVS the latter has the edge but HBJ may cause an upset in front of the home crowd......

    Most matches are close and can cause upsets except 2.
    1) LCW vs HJH
    2) MM/AT vs VH/WKW.
