Victor Insole XD 8

I swap the original insoles of Yonex Shb-65x for a pair of Victor VT-XD8. The main reason is that the ribs of the fore-foot part of the replacement insoles are more rigid and have better anti-slipping effect. The cushioning is about the same as the out-of-the-box insole.

XD8 looks very good, and it might be better than a very worn stock insole, but it is not that good.
Yonex and Li Ning make better badminton insoles.

 

Yes, Yonex has the 192 EX.
Li Ning make the AQAK218-2.

 

Are the forefoot ribs as rigid as the Victor's VT-XD8? That's the reason why I discard the Yonex's stock insole.

Tried Victor VT-X8 for the first time. While the cushioning is standard (dont buy this if you are looking for pillowy insole), i think the most positive thing about this insole is that somehow it gives a good feel of stability on the heel and a good 'bounce' feel that we love to have as we lunge and skip around the court

The front ribs make it feel like standing on egg-carton box material at first.. but I get used to it after a very short while. It also does a good job in keeping the foot stay in place. Well, actually the whole insole makes me feel my foot is safe and snug properly.

Victor has this spider graph rating on the insoles (much like those we see on badminton strings), and it does indeed promise good comfort, good stability, and good anti-slip, and only average cushioning, so they are delivering what they promise

 

Do you think that these insoles would still cushion better than the stock insoles from Aerus 3 or SHBO3Z?

Do you have any additional feedback after long term use?
