Not unusual for a young player after a big win. Lucky for CXX that the opponent is not so tough such that she still has a chance to recover.
Akane's win over Nozomi is not too surprising. Nozomi yet again playing too defensive, which does not work against Akane. Nozomi really needs to get back these sharp smashes and drops to be really competitive. Incredible run by Ravij Youseph, and not surprising if you watch his 1st round match against Tanongsak. I am very impressed with him. As expected Fukishima/ Hirota showing TakaMatsu how to get the job done. Was sure that they would win against Huang/ Yu. Saina not looking too good today for some reasons, always one or two steps slower in G1 and G3. Need to watch that Lee lee match against Chai/ Hong. I really like this Taiwan pair. Pedersen/ Juhls seems in such great form; another straight sets victory. Shinaka/ Yonemoto won this all-japanese tie as expected. Not too surprised by Zhang win over Sindhu. She lost a very close match the last time they met, even squandering a few matches If I remember well.
Quite true but she's giving herself too much pressure unnecessarily. I attribute it to youthful inexperience.
At last , we're seeing glimpses of CXX as in her match with Marin yesterday, all pumped up and fighting with vigour and confidence.
LCW - Air current and arena condition that makes him struggle to play normally. Too many shots out, wide and hitting the net. HSP played good smash game, not allowing LCW to do much. LD - WTW played very good attacking game, LD seems not ready and tried to play rallies but WTW managed to force LD to lift often.
In the morning when I saw the schedule I thought the WS matches were sure victory, so I'll watch the more competitive MS matches. And wasn't expecting HSP to win, a game at max. Look what happened, SN and PVS lost strangely. Tomorrow CL will definitely HSP everything would be on KS then. PVS had the best chance to win another PSS her draw was really nice and CM's early exit was a boon. Alas she couldn't convert
LCW is struggling with himself these days. He peaked at AE and fails to play like that again nowadays. I agree. Even if he won today, I say he will be beaten by Chen Long.
Saina Nehwal's loss was expected. She will lose in early rounds at least till next year. It will take her time to regain her fitness, strength, and top 5 player skills. Any good performance before that is a bonus. PV Sindhu does have a streak of inconsistency, though she is improving. She will put up a better performance at WC 2017 after she has had time for extended training.
