Wow, in June 2017, the BCA INA Open SSP and the Aussie Open SS back-to-back, offer the most money, USD1 mn and USD 750K respectively. I should expect a full turnout for these two tournaments, if only for the prize money and make the trip worthwhile from Indonesia to Australia, esp for those players in faraway countries. The problem is the IOSSP starts one week after the Sudirman Cup, I wonder if the winning team players and others are in the right frame of mind to compete in both or either one of the high prized superseries events.
No, after Sudirman Cup, all the participant have 2 weeks off to comeback joining INA SSP and then AUS SS. Sudirman Cup 2017: Week 20 INA SSP 2017: Week 24 AUS SS 2017: Week 25 The break time is 1 week longer compared to 2016 Season which give only 1 week off T&U Cup 2016: Week 19 INA SSP 2016: Week 22 AUS SS 2016: Week 23
I believe the reason the Sudirman Cup says 'Week 20' is that it begins at the end of Week 20. You can see from the BWF calendar, that the final day, May 28th, is the same as the final day of the Week 21 Romanian International. The same trick happened this year but you are correct that the break in 2017 will be a week longer. For top players, who can skip qualifying day in Indonesia, they will have 17 days between finals day at the Sudirman, and first round matches in Indonesia. Mind you, many SS events have been playing XD or other first rounds on Tuesday to relieve the load for the Wednesday schedule. Still, you are correct that this year, it was tighter. The Thomas Cup still finished at the end of Week 20, but qualifying day in Indonesia was Monday, and 33 first round matches were held on the Tuesday, just 9 days after finals day at the Thomas Cup.
Yeah, my point is 1 week longer than 2016 season. I believe that Superseries level should not be compromised with Grand Prix level. In onder to have better schedule and breaks in between Superseries/BWF Major Event, I support BWF to let GP/GPG in the same week with SS/SSP/Major Events. This way works better than separate GP/GPG against SS/SSP/Major Event. Let the players choose directly to join GP or to choose higher level. Olympics as major events need longer breaks before and after, so does SS/SSP/Other Major Events.

If past experience is any guide, online ticket sales will only be available to people living in Korea. In the past, they have used interpark or auction ticketing but although some of the vendors have 'international versions of the sites, the logins are separate and the Korea Open hasn't been available at all on the English-language version. Even if you speak Korean, registering for Korean sites is difficult to impossible. You usually need a national identity number and a domestically registered phone that can receive text messages. One time, I was told that the ticketer would accept orders by phone but I don't know how they would accept payment and I don't know anyone who has tried. Korea Open tickets have also been notoriously late to go on sale in the past. As late as 12 days before the tournament start one year. That got better in recent years, I believe, although with only local buyers able to buy in advance, the late opening of sales might actually be in the interest of anyone who will need to get here first and then try to buy tickets at the door. The last time I checked, there was no way to buy tickets in person before the event started. In fact, on that occasion, qualifying day was free and so the ticket booth didn't actually open at the gymnasium until Day 2 of the tournament.
