He have played well in the previous matches but still unpredictable. Should he avoid the usually disastrous second set, I am sure he can win.
this week having CELCOM AXIATA Malaysia International Series 2017 held in Putrajaya, a lot of MAS players took part this tournament, let's see whether they manage to play well and reach at least finals...
Last year, all finals have Malaysian players with three title wins. I hope MS/WS players can do well, especially the promising youngsters.
K. Letshanaa, touted as potentially another talented WS player like Goh Jin Wei by the local news, is participating in this tournament. A good showing will be more useful for her this time although she is quite young and less experienced.
Lee Jii Zia beat Soo Teck Zhi 21-14, 21-12. LJZ has improved tremendously since last year. He is one of the next MAS star. STZ, I don't know what is hindering his performance since 2013 but he is going lower and lower each year, losing to tamely to his own junior.
Cheam June Wei and Tan Jia Wei slowly yet steadily regaining form. The former was the top shuttler in junior world before succumbing to injuries.
S. Kisona did well to upset Lim Yin Fun [2] and compatriot M. Thinaah to reach WS final. She is doing better than her senior even though still young.
Lee Ying Ying [1] also managed to reach the final despite trailing in most of her matches from the early rounds. She still need to overcome her "slow warm-up" phase if she want to do better.
The scratch pair of Chen/Soh is encouraging as they managed to upset higher ranked INA pair to reach SF. Still, I don't know which pair the coach will go, Chen/Man or Chen/Soh.
Yes, she is. Both S. Kisona and M. Thinaah is indian. As you know, we have Malay, Chinese, India and more here.
Cheam June Wei is going strong, beating promising Lee Zii Jia in straight sets to compete in the MS final. A good sign, perhaps?
Soong/Tee advanced to their second tournament finals, after clinching Victor International Challenge.
Quite a good result by the youngsters, having at least one representative in every sector, except for XD.
Cheam June wei just best of Lee Zii Jia, while Tan Jia Wei unable to overcome ex-malaysian turned singaporean Loh Kean Yew...
At the end of MAS IC, three title for MAS, a title for SGP and INA. - S. Kisona beat top seed Lee Ying Ying. - Soong/Tee grab their second title. - Lee/Lim beat Chen/Soh in tight match. - Cheam June Wei lost the match against Loh Kean Yew despite leading 18-13, - INA XD beat hopeful IND pair.
