Agree, Kieran didn't play badly, it's just that Lin Dan wasn't in his usual casual, easy-going mood, worth watching again.
I suspect Shi Yuqi was nervous, not calm and steady , not that Scott is a mediocre player, on the contrary, I've seen the latter play some impressive badminton before. Anyway, not the kind of start I'd expect from SYQ, doesn't bode well for him, unlikely to pose a serious threat to Lin Dan should they meet in the QFs, I think.

If SBR/AP wants to win they need to cut down errors and if possible serve better. Also, if the umpires have made mistakes should be corrected immediately that's why the referees are appointed, not afters few points, that'll not change the momentum nor drift away the concentration.
