Not too surprised by Sato. Always been very inconsistent. Easy 3rd round for Marin as a result !

Well nothing to take away from Mia, I have been following her since her junior years, has improved many folds especially physically. Eventhough she had skills and all a comfortable G1 in kitty she always failed to capitalise as she just ran Outta steam by the end. Winning a marathon against a grinder is certainly something.

    Day 3 round up.

The first upset came early on, Ahsan and Saputro putting out favorites Li and Liu

Emil Holst took the first game off Lin Dan, and for a while we thought we were in for the Danish version of 'Allez Brice!'. But despite a time out in the second for a tactical nose bleed

    IMG_2551.JPG

Emil couldn't quite maintain the beguiling coolness that won him the first game, and Lin Dan won out in the end to the delight of his many fans

Chineses Taipei seem to have come up with their own version of Kevin Sukamuljo in the diminuitive form of Su Cheng Heng. With his partner Liao Min Chun they took on the Danes Astrup and Rasmussen, triumphing in three after the Danes wilted badly in games two and three.

The Rio Golden Girls started their campaign

    IMG_2564.JPG

and were done and dusted in 30 minutes

    IMG_2569.JPG

Late in the day there was another upset when Mia Blichfeld put out Sayaka Sato in three

In truth, this was a fair result on the day, Sato out of sorts and unable to read Mia's game.

    Till tomorrow,

No killer instinct. Both AP and NSR have mostly been in teams where they dont have to lead. Now one of them is having to and its not working.

With Sayaka Sato apparently not in good form, out already, and YipPY bashed by Marin, going by the score, who's to stop Marin now ?

I think Chen XiaoXin has better potential, there's a fragility about Yufei at the moment i feel,
but she is young yet so could work on her physical conditioning,
Chen Xioa Xin is a different kettle of fish, she has the same potential as Yufei,
one weapon she has is learn how to channel that energy and get into Marin's head,
she has the same bullish shouty attributes, all she needs to do is learn to antagonise her opponents like Marin,
screams and fist pump at their direction and even at the Chinese bench,
Marin is very clever in that and has got away with it thus far, only a handful of times has she been reprimanded for it.
