I think Chai Biao isn't the best partner for Hong Wei. If they had been paired up differently, I think they would have been much more successful. Chai Biao simply isn't "good enough" in the net and midcourt areas to consistently set up Hong Wei, and also commits the majority of unforced errors.
If Hong Wei is definitely retiring I wish him all the best. Chai and Hong have been my favourite pair over the last four years thanks to their explosive attacking style and intense and competitive on court personalities. Thank you Hong Wei! Sent from my SM-J500FN using Tapatalk
No wonder Zhang Nan/Hong Wei went undefeated in CBSL. Zhang Nan has twice the court coverage of Chai Biao and other worldly defense.
Imagine Chai Baio with his personality, having the ability of Kevin Sukamuljo. Now that's a Superstar right there.
They should have been separated long ago. Yeah Chai is not good enough. 1 SS is such a dissapointment and sad too when he said he will be retiring. SuperSmash talent he has.
I'm surprised the CBA are putting Wang Yilu with Chai Biao. His partnership with Huang KX was looking really strong. Sent from my SM-J500FN using Tapatalk
As far as I'm concerned Hong Wei was the stronger of the two 90-95% of matches (unless CB had one of those where he ran red hot and made almost no errors) so I don't really see how CB will make much of an impact going forward...maybe they'll try to do their buddy system again where an experienced player plays with a young one for less than a year to teach them a bit
Chai Biao/Wang Zekang has been registered at India Open, but he has just retired from national team. WDN is likely from this pair. And now you should say "Thank you Chai Biao!"
Apparently, there seems to be a misunderstanding (fake news ?) - Chai Biao is NOT retiring ! From the horse's mouth when some reporters checked with him http://sports.sina.com.cn/others/badmin/2018-01-10/doc-ifyqnick1914033.shtml (extract follows) But when we (the reporters) approached Chai Biao himself to seek confirmation, he personally responded in his own words:" I really didn't retire from the national team, I still have tournaments to play down the road." In the M & Q ver 4 report for the IND Open 2018, World Tourt Super 500 event, we can find Chai Biao's name partnering Wang Zekang for MD, thereby negating the rumour of his withdrawal from the national team or outright retirement.
