with the multiple lines, and the terrible lighting, and slippery court.

I played at one court that had the basketball lines and badminton lines both painted a light color, and right near each other. I let so many shot "fall out" when I was really seeing the basketball line from my peripheral vision and not the badminton one and they were all in. Drove me crazy.

I dont mind it, better than not playing at all.
The multiple lines don't bother me, as footwork / my reach are the gross determinants of whether the shuttle is out

If that court is the only court that is available to play on in the area, you will make do. The alternative is to not play badminton. Plus, if I'm playing with friends who I don't normally play with, I don't make a big deal. Remember, the goal is to have fun.

Well I guess I'm luckier with the court where we play. But no so on the aspect of ventilation and the constant amount of wind that penetrates the court:confused:

I'd played several times at a Community Centre multipurpose hall. It was bad enough with the multiple lines on the floor (for basketball, netball, etc), poor fluorescent lighting mounted on the walls (you would be looking into them) but what was worse was that the walls were painted in white which rendered the shuttle also invisible when flying through the air. A friend got so frustrated that he decided to color the shuttles with a black marker so that they could be seen to be hit!
