Looking at the video, I see only 4 stars for Yu Yang. 4 yellow and 1 white. As I said in my previous post, the yellow ones are apparently the ones that "count" for this uniform. Older uniforms had the solid vs hollow stars, but I think that has been changed.
I fully support the World Cup theory now. So the only players with 4 stars are: Zhang Nan Zhao Yunlei Tian Qing Chen Long Yu Yang Wang Yihan That about it?

In Sudirman 2011, Lin Dan and Cai Yun (and Fu Haifeng) all have four stars. By this time, LD has won WC, OG, Sudirman, Thomas Cup and World Cup. Does that complicate things more? After 2012 London OG, all three players then have had 5 complete stars.
Not for FuCai, since they have not won OG in 2011 and only won it at 2012. But I guess LD was just wearing the wrong shirt? hahahaha
I meant it would make much more sense (and very rightly so) that Fu and Cai would have 4 stars then, 2011. Because winning Olympics the following year got them to 5. So maybe, Lin Dan was just wearing a wrong shirt.
