Yeah let's go Du Yue, it's your time to get the spotlight. As much as I like Dora, this new girl has potential to do far far better
Chen Long is losing a lot lately, people should be more concerned about his poor form than LCW, CL cannot blame old age. I dont think he has been constantly injured since last years Olympic games also.
I am finding that Chen Long current playing style like LD and LCW, with long rally where it was very popular few decades ago very backward. Maybe it is the only way to extend the longivity of a player. During the revolution 90s onward where people played attacking style with lot of jumping smashes, you rarely find any defensive winning. I do not know what I am missing now. Is it because there are less high lifting than before and people are using better technique to avoid opponent from using jumping smash or...... I seem to find Europeans doing more smashes than CL, LD and LCW. Even Kidambi who won recently played an aggresive smash game. Is playing long rally the way forward or backward?
for me personally long rally is only if you are very good at defensive play, and has stable shots and stable mentality.... for world-class players though, i would say I HAVE NO IDEA YOU NEED TO ASK THEM
oh wow SayakaTakahashi hahaha man Japan team A really needs AY NO AO STakahashi MM screw sato kawakami pls
Oh dear, I really hope Fukushima/Hirota can win this. Polii/Rahayu are by far the worst pair to watch. They have a way of sucking the life out of rallies that makes Fukuman/Yonoa seem entertaining and adventurous.
I feel a defensive game can only be as strong as a weak offensive game of the opponent. Meaning, through and through defensive player like Son Won Ho can only survive if the aggressive opponent's attack cant find way past him. Now a days, player needs to have all round skills. Should be able to defend and attack. I was watching WS Final at Denmark, for a second I though I was watching MS. Look at the way Akane retrieves the shuttle (dives, twists, turns) and the net play by both Inthanon and Akane.
