Probably making this string my new go-to. It's like Ultimax but better in every way. Control is getting better each time I try it, too.

    That's certain.

If your posts in here doesn't start with: "I like to smash a lot", "I play with a lot of power and prefer to attack" or "I'm hitting the shuttles very hard", then you should be afraid that no-one will answer your question seriously.

I mean, there's no way any intermediate player would go to an internet forum and ask for advice, without getting heckled and ridiculed.

God, I freaking love this string. Feels like a hybrid of Ultimax and No. 1 on steroids. That 11/10 repulsion rating is reasonable.

The best feeling is when you smash it for the winner and your partner turns around says: WOW, that was scary.
    I love Aerosonic for doubles.

Surprisingly, despite concerns about longevity due to its thinner gauge... after about 9 months of using and stringing with this string for others, they seem to be pretty much on par with most of the other Yonex string such as the BG66 and BG80P.....

As one can appreciate, mishits will likely result in a snapped string much quicker but that applies to the other strings anyway.

No. I cut the one month old one to get a fresh one, but no AS died of natural causes yet. ;)

Same experience here. I believe stringing our own racket is a big part of it. Many stringers cant be so precise and cautious when stringing because of time constraints. That is totally understandable.
I dont have another explanation why people are snapping 11 kg with bg 65 and me not being able to snap aerobite at 12.5 kg.

Sidenote: have been testing BG 80 with Aerosonic crosses. after 8 hours of play the BG 80 shows fraying. The Aerosonic is fine.

You!!! You cursed me! I was rocking the AS setup for over 2 months now and the day you ask about it, it snaps!

Played a casual doubles match after league games and wasn't really fit anymore, admittedly, a complete mishit at the top was enough. The strings broke, the racket head warped like crazy, I cut it and after the game I saw a big crack in the frame. Don't know if it was there before due to clashes or because of the string snapping. Either way, sucks. :(

    Sorry about your loss :-(
what kind of racket and what tension did you play? And the crack was there before cutting?

I literally had "can't say I'm not jealous" typed up as a reply to your earlier post. Guess I can't reply with that anymore. Always sad to hear that about a racket no matter the reason.

    Perhaps N80 isn't ready for 31?

Well, the racket isn‘t completely broken yet, but with a crack like that it‘s only a matter of time. It‘s my trusted Li-Ning N80 with Aerosonic @ 14 kg.

Can‘t really say it was due to the broken string, maybe it was there before. The racket was only warped for a few seconds before I cut the strings.

That sucks big time, sorry for your loss. One down, another three left!

    EDIT:
but thinking about it... this means that a place has opened up for a N90IV, doesn't it?

I probably shouldn't take any chances tho with soon to be mine (two more days) Woods N90. 28lbs should be decent.

Yeah, I might go down to 13 or even 12.5 kg with winter and very low temperatures around the corner.

Actually it‘s already 2 down and 3 left, although I never had 5 at once. :D

Does strings fray a little easier when cold (say badminton hall is 18degs celsius in the Canadian winter) ? Since it just turned cold recently, my latest aerosonic string only last 15hrs. It starts fraying after 12-13hrs and snaps at 15.... It snaps where the fraying was so not mishit.
My last restring during the summer is more normal (25hrs play and frays a lot more before finally snapping.)
Compare to the BG80P, so far its a mix how "bad" its real durability is for me. But from experiecen the 80P definitely more durable for sure.
