i think Gao FJ needs to things right now.

    (1) smashing like Wang Xin's or Marin's,

    (2) deception like TTY

Well It needs a superKevin sukamuljo to prevent China clean sweep i guess.

Yes Marin achievement this year is actually great despite her being off form. Not many realised that she is already in 4SS(1Title) final this year.
Could have easily been fifth today. Converting a few titles and not many would have spoken of only TTY i guess.

probably no.2 since she already got good smash...
i'll add physical... she needs to get stronger but not too much that it affects her speed

SWH has been working hard this tournament, not sure the legs can take a 1h30+ match again

Not at all. Good for business or not.
    Same holds true for LCW.
Him being good for business and a "superstar" and therefore BAM supporting him does not mean he was not banned for drug use for eight months and is not a drug cheat.
Him being a superstar does not mean he will not be called when cheating by using medical attention trickery either. 35 years old or not.
    Cheers.

Ah, after all that screaming and posturing two gentlemen on court. So refreshing.

When I first noticed Gao Fangjie, she reminded me of Sun Yu too (which I've said before) but a faster version. I'm so glad this is a breakthrough tournament for her.

Thanks for the info about the KOR Junior event.

    no idea ... or
if i have to guess maybe becoz she's not strong enough for smashing game or maybe instruction from coach now that Marin has better defence after she switched to DZS or maybe just tactic to bamboozle Marin ...shruggs...
    i'll leave it at that..

Here you go. Gao Fangjie defeated Olympics gold medallist today after defeating Olympics silver medallist.
Next time when they meet her, it would be really interesting. From today onwards, coaches of sindhu and Carolina will target her to be their ultimate destination. I guarantee. They won't rest until they find a solution.
But Gao Fangjie really impressed me with her play. She is natural.

Thats a couple of wins at home soil for GF. She will need to prove herself abroad before becoming a real contender.

I miss Srikanth kidambi here. I thought he is the only one in the current list in china open who can beat Victor.
