It's possible Son Wan Ho is nursing a mild injury from the HK Open and wants to preserve himself for the Dubai SSF. Just saying.
Lee/Yoo found themselves surviving a three setter again today, against younger compatriot. How much will change in MD, since BWF will introduce 11x3 system?
Bodin/Nipitphon from 14-20, got 8 straight points to force decider Meanwhile, his former partner (Maneepong) also playing at India IC https://www.tournamentsoftware.com/...748208-9C5A-4FA3-AD95-09B0A7A9C775&player=846
Goh/Teo wasted their first QF in their partnership, blowing 20-14 lead to 20-22, end up lose the rubber game, just like how vivian/woon did in china open weeks ago...
I think short points system will benefit attacking players more. I do not know whether I like it or hate it.
there is already a bunch of discussion regarding this point system in this thread http://www.badmintoncentral.com/for...ew-scoring-system-from-september-2016.163493/
Very odd, especially considering that the opponent is his teammate, not some unknown youngster who he's unfamiliar with. Worse yet, his opponent is a world no. 500+ player who has next to no international exposure, only playing an average of 3 international tournaments per year. Compounded by the fact that he disposed of Heo Kwang Hee with relative ease yesterday which crosses out injury woes.
my brother msg-ed me saying he believes all INA representatives gonna lose tomorrow oh well we shall see i guess
ye ye good point ... i guess all we can do is wait and see how far SWH conquerer can go in this tourney...
All the MS players are gone except Panji. Gregoria Mariska Tunjung advanced yesterday when her opponent retired. I hope she can match up well today vs. Lee Jang Mi (the highest ranked Korean WS player after SJH). All remaining Hafiz/Gloria, Alfian/Melati, Panji will face seeded opponent. I really like Anggia/Ni Ketut pair so far.
