It would be more convenient to "assume" if they were "actually in form", or rather if KS was. That injury forced him to take a break and hence prevented him to take part in last two crucial SS tourneys. To me he looked very rusty in G1, made loads of errors, that only happens when one lacks match practice. Remember when CL played very few tourneys and had devastating results cause he always looked "rusty". In g2 he simply lost focus, when else have u ever saw him talking to himself and muttering all the time? And when he failed to equalise the scoreline even after doing his best, simply lost self belief. This is a very typical trait of him, esp during the beginning of his career. Let's just hope the both qualify for the knockout and meet eachother again, we'll be in a better position to make such bold statements then. PS: to make conclusions from one single match is reading to much regardless of who you are talking about esp in singles category this year. Cheers
Much easier to rise up the rankings in XD and WD compared to MD. thats why we see many new pairs there.
If I were Zhang Ning, I wouldn't be able to sit still watching HBJ playing without intensity and , as usual, error-prone. Never mind, the agony will end soon.
Chen Yufei is more confident playing Sung Ji Hyun and able to give full play to her shot-making, racing to a 11-0 lead in G2 after wrapping up G1, 21-16.
If SWH win tomorrow, then SWH and LCW will progress through next stages. SWH win straight games --> his "won games" : 3-2 --> and SWH become group leader SWH win rubber games ---> his "won games" : 3-3 ---> and SWH become runner-up group Ng Ka Long has already got a minus one in his "won games" : 2-3
So Li Junhui/Liu Yuchen join He Bingjiao and can confirm their air tickets back home or, perhaps, be allowed to go sightseeing in Dubai a day or two before the return flight.
SYQ has to take more initiative and minimize VA's attacking chances, not easy but has to take the risk.
Looks like Shi Yuqi needs some more firepower and strength in his smash. It sounds like a weak smash.
