what a wasted opportunity for recent Thai Master runner-up Leong Jun Hao to play this tournament as his world ranking is too low and unable to qualify to play this tournament...

It should be as predicted since Leong Jun Hao hadn't registered here. But I'm agree with you that once there is a chance, just give him an exposure as early as possible. Maybe Swiss Open or German Open are suitable for him.

If we look at India Open M&Q, Leong Jun Hao mathematically able to play at India Open's qualification.

It's reported that some of the CHN players caught the flu bug the weeks before but none of them is withdrawing so far. But I'm actually more worried about Huang Yaqiong who was injured during the CBSL days ago while playing WD with Chen Yufei and had to retire at 9-11 in G1. No idea what her injury was and how serious. Perhaps it's minor or the CHN newsmedia wouldn't have talked about it cursorily at that time.

Still, I won't be surprised if there are a couple of pullouts tomorrow or the day after.

But Okuhara hasn't withdrawn, has she?
It would be nice if she's fit again...

Zheng/Huang just lost G1 after leading 10-2, if I remember correctly.
Another slow start for them it seems.

Things went wrong for Yuta/Arisa, from a winning position in G1 into a 2-7 slump.

I'm surprised Huang Yaqiong didn't pull out as just a few days ago she retired injured in WD at the CBSL.

Anyway, a R1 knockout seems on the cards for Siwei/Yaqiong
