looks like someone need to go to INA's PBSI as undercover to "spy" on the players that how they trained and be the world beaters...
They get the job done, simple as that. Overpraising is not good too, considering our player too is world beaters. They have a strong mentality and does NOT have a coward/fragile syndrome.
Even Thailand is better at this point. Just to prove that players are lacking the concentration, focus and hunger to actually win something for once. Disappointing.
I hope for the next few years, Coach Misbun and Cheah Soon Kit can give proper discipline to players so that they will be always focus every time they compete. More strict is better if it is to enhance players capabilities overall.
unfortunately there won't be the next few years as other countries already far too great while malaysian badminton will lack way behind...
Not far too great anyway. The only difference is consistency and mistakes-rate. MAS players just need to focus and reduce their unforced errors count.
MAS have a lot of great MD talent: Chang Yee Jun, Man Wei Chong, Chia Wei Ji, Tee Kai Wun, Ng Eng Cheong and Kwek Yee Jian. BAM and the clubs needs to give the sufficient training and development to these players.
wanna looking for the mas players that when they leading the score, they give their opponents totally no chance to trail the score, just like how others countries players did...
MAS really need to focus more and improve on the mental and psychological part of their game. Sport psychologist, mental coach, whatever it takes. That net kill by Goh out long at the end of G2 to possibly close out the MD final match was dejavu of Rio OG final against Zhang/Fu...exactly the same shot by Goh out the baseline. They could've won easily as they led G2 by 18-13, but somehow they let the foot off the gas pedal, as Steen and Gill would commentate. It was good they won SF against Zhang/Liu but they gifted the final away to the INA pair. Not to mention LCW's early exit collapse in round 2 to Nishimoto. So TL;DR, MAS please put your players thru some tough mental training!
True that. Based from recent reports, BAM hired few mental coaches to train player, but I don't know if it will be good enough to fix MAS players mentality.
the last very good mental coach for BAM is Indra Gunawan, unfortunately he has passed away years ago...
there will be "do or die" for MAS men team to win TPE and THA, while MAS women team will be alright to enter QF...
Chinese Taipei without Chou Tien Chen and Thailand without Tanongsak & Ratchanok. Another advantage for Malaysia as the host.
Wow you're right Ratchanok won't be there I wonder why... But I'm very pleased to see Sapsiree in the list!! She's back! But to get back to the topic, Thailand has enough female players to still be safe in the tournament.
