Antony Sinisuka Ginting (born October 20, 1996 in) is a very exciting player. I first watched him play in the youth OG 2014 where he won a bronze medal. He has also won a bronze medal in 2014 WJC.

He idolizes Taufik Hidayat and has tried to copy his techniques, I read that in an interview:http://www.thejakartapost.com/news/2015/06/09/anthony-eyes-top-50-breakthrough.html
Apart from racketskills he is also very fast moving around the court.

2015 seems to be his breakthrough year, he reached QF in INA PSS beating Srikanth and giving eventual winner Momota a tough fight before losing.

He then took part in SEA games as a reserve player in the team event and won gold (he did not play any match).

In TPE GPG he beat Tian Houwei and his senior Rumbaka in comprehensive two game matches.

His next tournaments will be Vietnam GP and Japan SS.

    Now some pics:

Impressive result by this young man reaching his first SS semifinal. Hope he can go further in the next tournament. It would be very difficult task to expect him qualify for Rio Olympic.

But it's not impossible indeed. He has what it takes to be -- at least -- in the top 20. Hope he keeps this positive trend and win a title soon.

He has done a great job in Thomas Cup qualification. Beating all of his higher-ranked opponents. He is going to be a real contender.

Today he beat Viktor Axelsen in Sudirman cup. Gintings speed neutralised some of Axelsens heigth. Also he is fit enough to maintain his high pace throughout the whole match now, before he could lose after winning G1.

In my opinion Ginting can beat anyone on his day. But he is still very inconsistent, which is understandable since he is only 20 years old. In a few years I expect him to be in top 3.

I also think he very good. The way the glides on the court is really fun to watch. I like his jump smash.

Still think his footwork can be better, it seems his hand moves earleir than his foot, so he can't reach many shuttles that can actually be defended

Understand this is about 2 years late, but in the extra pic at the bottom, anybody know what racket Ginting is using? Doesnt look like ZF2, seems to be nanoray 900 although using the NR900 in singles is a bit....weird

The biggest improvement with Ginting, that I can see, is that he seems to now have that endurance to maintain his speed throughout the whole match, even if it goes all the way. Previously he was lacking and will get sorely beaten if the match ever went to the third set.
It also looked like that he has improved the consistency of his shot making and is now taking better decissions on court, which will allow him to rely less on his speed of movement (which in turn will help him last longer).
Good job on winning his first SS level tourney.

I think INA should really look at Ginting as their no 1 player. I think he has the best technique and movement among the other INA MS players. It also, unfortunately, looking like that he is the only one improving out of the young trio of Jonatan, Ihsan and him.

Watching other players play and you say to yourself, this looks easy because they move so easily and effortlessly unlike us mortals.

For example, LD/LCW/CTC/KM/VA/SK and CL especially.

But when you actually play, you realise how difficult it is to keep moving like that and still look effortless. It is something extremely hard even for the best amongst us.

Watching Ginting play is something completely different. You realise immediately that you would not be able to move like at such a high pace and all.

He is like a doubles player who plays alone!

I can't wait to watch him against the strong ones again!
