Hi,I haven't played with VT70 etune, however I can say that Ax77 is quite maneuverable. And honestly mine doesn't feel head heavy at all. It feels more like a balanced racket.
From a similar discussion: I really dislike hard strings on soft (mid-flex) rackets. I love the feedback of hard strings on stiff rackets. On mid-flex rackets, I prefer softer strings, but I raise the tension a little. For me, there's no benefit from hard strings on soft rackets, so I go for stiff (head heavy) rackets (I'd love to try the AX88D, AX77 won't be for me) and try to stay at tensions that a normal racket can handle for several years.
Hi,I should have probably said earlier that I am not a very experienced player and have not really played with many high end rackets. Apart from AX77 I have a VTIF which I use for doubles. I have in the past briefly tried some mid range Victor rackets and once Arc11. Based on my limited experience I thought it is quite easy to play with.
Thanks for the recommendation. Sorry, i don't have much experience on strings. Just aware of mostly yonex, and a few victor and ashaway strings. First time heard of this G-Tone 5 string. So it's very good ah? cheaper than yonex i guess?
Sounds like i was on the wrong direction then, haha! I thought to put a harder string on a softer racket (ie. arcsaber11) to give it a harder feel (which i prefer. Not super hard, but enough hard)
Yep, cheaper. From Yonex, I'm thinking the closest string would be 66UM, but with slightly harder crisper feel and most importantly better tension retention with longer playability.
It's up to you. I just said what I (dis)like. Try a hard string and see if you like it, it's very personal and subjective.
CAN SOMEONE PLS GIVE A DETAILED COMPARISON BETWEEN VOLTRIC Z FORCE 2 AND ASTROX 77?? PLS M REALLY CONFUSED. ALSO I HAVE APACS BLEND DUO 100 AND 88.ANY OTHER APACS RACKET WORTH TAKING INSTEAD OF VTZF2 & ASTROX77??
Both are completely different rackets. In my opinion , Zforce 2 is the most stiff and head heavy racket which is suitable for Singles. Wheres Astrox 77 is slight stiff and also slight head heavy . If you are double players , you use Astrox 77 yellow , Blue is more for ladies.
Thanks dude.Well,m more of a lower intermediate player playing on-off since last 2 yrs. Yes I play both singles and doubles.More of singles. I have voltric 7 and arc 7 for singles.Couple of apacs rackets (blend duo 88 and duo 100,which I feel are much better than both Yonex ones) My main racket was voltric 7 till now but it was way too heavy, though the smashes were pretty good it lacked greatly in the defense department. So keeping in mind change in the voltric 7 ,which would u guys recommend? Voltric z force 2 or ASTROX 77? Ik the best would be to try them both,but where I stay,there aren't any dealers who would give trial rackets so that's kinda out of the question. So could anyone having voltric 7 and z force 2 both tell me the difference between them?has z force 2 got better smashes and defense compared to voltric 7?
Well u see,m asking this for a replacement for my ageing voltric 7. Apacs rackets are pretty light 6u and 5u mainly for doubles,but i Haven't got a single 3/4u rackets proper for singles.So that's my dilemma.
if you cannot handle voltric 7, then z force 2 is definitely not your racket, it's way more difficult to handle (the weight and stiffness).
who can confirm the yellow is more stiff than the blue? I understand the yellow is slightly heavier than the blue.
saw doubles (male and female) using yellow, and singles (only female so far i saw) using blue. i asked the salesman in a badminton shop and he told me yellow is slight stiff and heavier. so i wondering....
