According to GC who repeated it twice, Xie Xingfang won the AE three times in a row

Totally agree and that's what Frost was saying, too. You made it sound like she couldn't do more though, and that I don't agree with. She's a great shotmaker, the second best in the world in my opinion, but she makes very little use of it against TTY. Against Marin, she had 16-7 winners. Against TTY she hasn't risked anything at all and was only in the game because TTY made so many easy mistakes in the first game. Frankly, I don't know what the coaches are telling her. Her whole body language was also off, right until that fangirl handshake at the end.

Even Wang Shixian won it twice, says GC, but not in a row.

I actually think she was given the wrong tactic too, sadly. But of course she should be able to readjust.

Hope Shi Yuqi isn't too nervous. If he's confident, he's the better player than LD.

If you want to beat LD you need a good smash from your rear forehand corner. Morten is right about that.

I agree. And we know SYQ has what it takes with a positive H2H over Lin Dan. Particularly at the AE SF(?) last year. But then again LD is a different person at finals... so who knows?
