Liu Cheng is a prisoner beater type of player. His hands are really hard while dealing with below the net work.....Lin Dan could be the solution to this problem....the guy has the touch of a handkerchief.
I just can't imagine LD playing MD Somehow I imagine even his partner wouldn't be able to stand him haha
Hahaha... I hope CHN would give some time for Liu Cheng to improve his skill and mentality so he can keep up with Zhang Nan. Do you know how long they've been an MD pair? I mean, even Kevin/Gideon needed more than 1 year to synchronize their play. I remember that they had once asked for new partners after they kept losing in 2015.
Trust me. Lin Dan and Li Xuerui were playing a mixed doubles match and this is what happened.. Li Xuerui lifted to the male opponent at the back, Wang Yilyu thundered down a smash to Lin Dan's side, LD defended it easily....then wang's girl partner intercepted LD's return and LD with devastatingly fast hands..returned that interception too......the girl was so rushed that he put the next drive shot well out LD gave that ''Thug life with a cigar in the mouth'' look to Li Xuerui.....and Li XR must have felt : "Bruh, do you need me?''

Oh! If they did, I would like one clone for myself too lol Yeah, Zhang Nan is very unique compared to the typical Chinese players who rely heavily on their stamina and power. Fu Hai Feng was very lucky to have had him as a partner. I love how they covered for each other though most of the time Zhang Nan did the covering for him. But when Zhang Nan got injured in Final Japan Open 2015, FHF was so protective of ZN and he covered most of the court by himself and still put up a really good fight against LYD/YYS. Amazing! Most of the top players from China physically deteriorating quickly with age. Yeah, I hope they could really try to improve Liu Cheng rather than trying to pair Zhang Nan with someone else. Zheng Siwei is too weak for a rear court player in MD. Even Liu/Zhang could win over Boe/Mog a few times. LC is really weak if he played against fast paced opponents but then again he did quite well against Kam/Son. It took about almost 2 years before Markus could keep up with Kevin, so maybe we should just wait and see. Unless China team has different ideas. But I vote for seeing more Zhang Nan in MD.
